I seem to remember us having this debate before. Benitez Ortiz Gomez Top three and in that order for me. I like Escalara (check his fights with Arguello) and honorable mention for Kid Cocoa who laid out the blue print for Boricua fighters to follow and of course can't forget Tito.
IMHO with Benitez I guess you can rate on talent or achivements, either way he gets in the top 3 but talent gets him the #1 but achievements puts him back to 3rd in my book
Esteban De Jesús is worth a shout surely. 1st man to not only beat Duran, but also drop. Just recently downloaded their trilogy, must watch it some time soon.
Bazooka has a record 18 defences i think:huh Benitez won 3 genuine world title's by 22 years of age & just checkout the smirk from this 22 yr old cocky genius after he'd detonated a right hand bomb on poor Maurice Hope:yikes [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNvSfmtTeDA[/ame]
Wilfredo Gomez's punch picking masterclass against great 118/122lber Alberto Davila is a sight to behold.
