Recently it has to be Williams over Quintana. In that first fight I hated to agree with Max Kellerman, but he was right when he said: "The story of this fight is Quintana punches Williams in the face!" And then Paul came out in the 2nd one and just steam rolled his ass.

I don't know about greatest, but noteworthy achievements in the recent past are:

    1) Vernon Forrest over Mora - mostly because we had given up on Forrest and he gave us a reason to believe that he still had it. RIP.
    2) Zab Judah over Spinks - who hadn't written Judah off, and to win by KO!
    3) Lewis over Rahman - Lewis wasn't a fan favorite back then but he helped to lock himself in as the guy that beat everyone that he faced at least once
    4) Corrales over Casamayor - so he didn't win them all, but his second fight showed us that he wasn't a one trick pony. RIP.

Good pick, and relevant to the current state of boxing!

    You mean which.

Lewis over Rachman was a great one, Lennox needed that win and needed a big KO to secure his legacy and he did it. If he were to lose that or put in a close decision win we would not speak of him as highly as we do today.

Also if Cotto were to fight and beat Margarito, that would be the biggest considering the whole plaster of paster revelation.

Jones - Griffin isn't the best but it was a good one considering the odd circumstances of the first fight.

Lewis Rahman. Not only sweet in the sense of revenge, but one of the best KO's ever. Plus, Lewis came out to James Brown's "Big Payback". It was perfect. :happy This coming from a guy who was never a big Lewis fan.

Definetly forgot about that one, thats one of the best for sure. In fact it may be better than Lewis vs. Rachman 2.

In the last couple of years I can't think of any. Tarver/Jones 2 may be classified as being huge vindication for Tarver. Tarver had a habit of vindicating himself. Until Bhop took him to school and we all know there was no point in Tarver even attempting a rematch.

Wlad beating Brewster seems superficial, but given that it is the only loss he ever avenged it will be one of those fights that are more important in the bigger picture of his career.

To be honest I find it easier to think of potential fights that should happen for vindication rather than real ones that have happened recently.

Almost forgot... Lang/Balboa II. With the trainer's death and all, it was pretty huge.

Personally I feel Jones-Griffin is. To have your first loss come after you have knocked a guy down and accidentally hit him 1 time when he was on his knees when your eyes werent even focused on him is pretty ****ed up. To come back and drop him with the 1st legit punch he threw then another KD where Griffin looked like he was parylazed from the waist down is perfect vindication.
