All right gents, take it outside unless you’re discussing Round Ones. This isn’t your local watering hole.

ok, but one condition, where's the PM button? People keep talking about one, but I don't see one. While I'm not real good with websites, I've looked pretty thoroughly, and I don't see a "PM" button.

Never underrated at all by us from the generation who were there. Just by newbys who think they "discovered" gold no one else ever saw.
Btw Dempsey-Firpo #1 for action, importance and surprises. Goddbye!

Where were you the last two weeks? The thread taking nominations has been up that long. It’s been on the front page nearly all that time.

I didn’t make this list up. I asked people to nominate their best Round 1, 2, 3, etc. You can find the link to the thread at the top of the page. Go nominate any round 2-15 you’d like. You’re welcome to participate.

Not going to add any to rounds after the voting has started. Going to do one round at a time, three days of voting.

Please put the nominations on the original thread where I’m keeping the inventory, so to speak.

The link you ask for is the second line of the OP on this thread.

It was most of the day. And most of the last two weeks. I’ll bump it if it makes you feel better. But there’s a link and if you add your suggestions it will be on the front page.

Go look at the thread. It has nominations for the best 1-15 rounds. I didn’t want to make 30 threads — 15 to nominate and 15 to vote on LOL.

Sorry you didn’t look at it. It’s been here all along for two weeks. Lots of other people participated with a ton of nominations. The thread is up to four pages.

I welcome your participation but I’m not going to add nominations to every round as we go because (a) the voting wouldn’t be fair if some rounds were up for longer than others and (b) it’s too much bother — someone would nominate a round after the voting has started and I might be busy with work all day and not get to it and then ... what’s the point?

I’ll add the write-in votes. If any round not in the poll gets more votes than the most votes in the poll, I will happily crown that round champion, lol.

It’s a poll on a message board, we’re not putting plaques in the hall of fame here.

So if someone else voted this morning and I add a fight, we just don’t count their vote. They’re supposed to magically know that it’s been erased and that they have to vote again? And again and again if others are added?

The main thing is that we all know that you’re smarter than the rest of us and your boxing knowledge is so off the charts that we should leave all the opinions and rankings and, heck, all the discussion even to you. We acknowledge that even though there’s been a thread around for 14 days on a forum where you admit you spend several hours a day and you didn’t participate. SMFH.

So how about you just tell us the greatest 15 rounds of all time and we can go about our business voting not he second-best 15 rounds of all time?

Thanks for all the participation. I’m adding the link to this thread to the original one.
