Greatest Round 6 of all time (please vote)

Just realised that even if film emerged of these two 6th rounds, they wouldn't qualify as they were not complete rounds.

 

Been through all six of the 6th rounds here now and here's my vote in reverse order:

6. Marciano-Moore:
Good round but quite one sided.
5. Rossman-Quarry 3:
Good, competitive round
4. Leonard-Hearns 1:
I could watch Ray Leonard move like that all day but the first minute or so was pretty much event free until Ray wobbled Hearns and then the fireworks started. Great, clean hitting from Leonard and some return of fire but that was about it.
3. Ortiz-Berto 1:
I really wanted to enjoy this round but couldn't because of that ****ing ref! Kept breaking the action too early and just getting in the way. Contrast that with Davey Pearl in the Leonard-Hearns round (where he was barely in the picture) and you can see how a bad ref can ruin a good fight. No blame attached to the fighters and there was great drama with the knockdowns but like I say, the ref sucked.
2. Barrera-McKinney:
I was all ready to vote for this as I'd watched this fight a few days ago but it actually took a little bit of time to get going. When it did, though, it was all out to to toe exchanges. Great stuff!
1. Hagler-Mugabi
Big, clean hitting from two tough middleweights. All action from the opening to the closing bell - clear winner in my view.

The first few rounds I went off memory for, but the last 3, I've watched them all and it's been much more enjoyable (LOL) and I feel more confident in my picks.

Really helps get the best out of the thread imo.

 

Being a Bones McKinney fan had its privileges. That was some life...reflects. anyway I voted Barrera/McKinney. If you watch then you had to vote for it. If you didnt watch then you voted for another option.

 

unfilmed ones shouldn't count anyways. Are you going to redo your Best Rounds series with uncompleted rounds. Would a round like Foreman-Lyle round 2, or Torres-Cotton round 14 make the list, since they technically aren't completed, yet there's no knockout.

 

Rounds 6-8 or 9 I feel will be a bit on the slim-pickings side, as that's usually when one or both guys start to feel the tired of a fight but before they catch a second wind. Case in point, all of these rounds were enjoyable, but many of them were largely one-sided. The three standouts to me are Ortiz/Berto, Mugabi/Hagler, and McKinney/Barerra. Ultimately, I went with Mugabi/Hagler, even though it fell closer to the 'one-sided' category. Sustained action and skill on display from two big middleweights.
