Frankie Liles v Tim Littles 2 is a wild three round title fight.

Kennedy McKinney v Junior Jones, which was on the undercard of Hamed-Kelley, was three rounds and terrific action.

EDIT: no, my memory was wrong. It was four rounds. Still… great fight card!

Where's the McCallum crew? Hindsight in particular makes McCallum - Jackson an enjoyable affair. McCallum staggered and then stays aggressive and gets the dangerous Hawk out of there.

    This would get my vote.
Louis v Schmeling 2 was dramatic ,but one sided.

Add Park Chan Hee v Guty Espadas to the list. Outstanding 2 rounder.

We could do this thread for the MDQ era and pick out a nice, brisk 24-rounder.

In my admittedly limited knowledge, I really can't see how anyone can pick against
    Dempsey v Firpo?

It certainly is - but I think the OP said three rounds or less.

Nonetheless, I’ve watched that one loads of times. Toney showed great urgency after that nasty, rare cut he suffered. Littles’ downfall as a fighter was being over eager. He showed that against Liles and he showed it against Toney. Not a cold, clinical finisher but a hot-headed one with a suspect chin.

I never got the love for this one. To me it was basically a product of its era, famous for a painting because people didn’t get to see it.

Guy landed a couple of right hands and half-pushed Dempsey out of the ring. Then some people pushed him back in. Much better short wars IMO where there was more tides of fortune and two-sided action.
