Who do you believe had the greatest title run of all time in a single divison? Do you put more emphasis on quality of opposition (eg Salvador Sanchez's opposition) or quantity (eg B-Hops Middleweight run with plenty of C/B fighters)?.

Hopkins middleweight run was pretty good.
I think Holmes did a good job with his title.

Hopkins Middleweight title run is something of legend, he might have fought plenty of B level fighters(not out of his own accord but because there was absolutely nobody of quality until Jermaine Taylor showed up, outside of the Middleweight Championship Series, Jermaine Taylor, and Oscar De La Hoya) but his dominance in the division was something special.

For anyone who says about Bernard Hopkins having a great run at mw, you also have to have Joe Calzaghe there or thereabouts too as they weren't that different.

Hagler probably had a better middleweight run.

From 1937 to 1940 Armstrong went 59-1-1 with 51 knockouts. He won the featherweight title, the lightweight title and the welterweight title in this time. Defended the lightweigh title once and the welterweight tile 18 times (alltogether he had 19 defences of the welterweight crown, a record that stands until today).
He beat ring ranked contenders 75 times throughout his career including 10 HoFers in 13 fights (with possibly a few added in the future).
This three year run has to be the greatest ever.

Trinidad was a natural ww with his only notable win at mw coming against a decent but not great Joppy.

true but 1)he was heavily favoured 2)he was a legitimate P4P entrant, who many had rated number 1. calzaghe just doesnt have one thats close
