Lockett was way out of his depth with Pavlik, there is no trainer in the world who could of got Lockett to win that fight, and Calzaghe made an average fighter in Enzo Mac become a world champion, hardly a fail

Tyson's corner in Tokyo. Aaron Snowell actually improved and became a solid trainer, but putting a condom with tap water on Tyson's eye will always be infamous.

I think that Hatton failed and not Mayweather Senior. Hatton stopped listening to PBF senior and went right at Manny.

I think that one of the worst trainers in general was Roberto Alcazar. Oscar slowly got rid of him.

You could also mention Hearns-Hagler! I'm pretty sure Hearns would have been instructed to box going into the bout, but he didn't do this! Instead, he tried to match fire with fire & go all out with Hagler, which was not a wise game plan!

Even though Hagler got cut early, that first round basically ****ed Hearns! He was somewhat spent after the first three minutes! Hagler knew he had him going into the second because Hearns hit him with everything in the first & Marvin was still gunning for him!

Eddie Futch training Duane Bobick to go 60 seconds with Ken Norton is the king of them all.

I'd say follow that closely with Manny Steward in Prince Hamed's corner for Barrera. "Naz, try not to stagger so badly when you get hit, it's making you look like you're getting beat even worse than you are." :rofl

What I really can't stand is when the trainer, or anyone else in the corner, won't stop a fight that needs to be stopped, and their fighter just takes unnecessary punishment.

    Jones-Hall, Quartey-Bojorquez, Calzaghe-Lacy.

He did tell Jermain over and over to keep his left up. Jermain didn't listen. Can't be doing that **** against a guy with bricks in his right hand like pavlik

Not that it wasn't all footwork that beat Pavlik, but as someone else said, every ****in trainer in the world tells their fighter to double the ****in jab, especially when they got a heavy right hand following it.

But he should have taught Kelly to move better and cut off that ring instead, stop letting BHop literally walk off to his left.
