I need to check if they will re-air it again. I missed it. Those were two really top level boxers going at it.

Hey, it's the thought that counts.

On a more general note: I am still hoping for a JMM-Pac trilogy. That would have to rank way up on the list as well (if it ever comes to fruition).

Morales-Pac? hmmm, not a very good one. One good fight and two blow-outs hardly make for a great trilogy.

No Morales pac is not a good one since Manny pretty much ruined him ..I'm sure there will be a 3rd fight with Manny and JMM ..

Arturo Gatti vs Micky Ward hands down!

Two out of the three were fights of the year.

30 rounds of action hard to beat IMO!

Only one fight was competitive, and there were fights more deserving in 2003 than Gatti-Ward 3.

Gatti won 10-0 or 9-1 in the rematch. He won 8-2 in the 3rd fight, and Ward won his 2 rounds when

    • Gatti broke his hand
    • Gatti went down after winning the first 2:55 of the round
    Vazquez-Marquez, Barrera-Morales, Bowe-Holyfield....all superior.

Even Morales-Pacquiao had 2 very competitive bouts.

The first fight could have very easily gone to Gatti, or been a draw.

Ward won officially because he was given a 10-7 round in the 9th, which you can say was rather generous since Gatti controlled the middle portion of the round with vicious body shots.

i think vasquez marquez is the best trilogy that i've ever seen. The first fight was good. second fight even better and the third fight is one of the best fights i've seen in my life. MAB and Morales first fight good second fight not really that good, third fight good. Chico and casa first fight excellent second fight ok third fight alright. gatti ward one was of the hook, but second and third fights were not even as close to the first. Marquez and Vasquez got better with each fight.
