You just reminded me of that time when David Haye would refer Wladimir Klitschko as "Borat". Wlad actually did a near perfect impersonation of Borat’s voice. This content is protected
Yeah, I can agree with Usyk at #1, but since he is still fighting I don't want to put him above Wlad. For me Vitali has to be ahead of Gvozdyk, he had that aura of invincibility for years, iron chin, good technical fighter and massive power, Gvozdyk on the other hand had great skills and good punching power but he wasn't the physical beast Vitali was.
I'm surprised Loma isn't getting more shouts tbh. He could have stayed at FW, SFW and just destroyed people in spectacular fashion. I suppose Usyk beating opponents 30 pounds heavier is more impressive, its actually bonkers really.
People used to be convinced Lomachenko was far better than Usyk p4p. I was among the few that ever dissented with that view.
Wlad is a frigging bum dosser compared to Usyk What has wlad ever done? Struggled with Tony Thompson? Usyk is a better fighter and man in every regard.
Right...that's what it took for the majority to come around to accepting that Usyk isn't a crap boxer in comparison (well, that and the fact that Usyk beat the best two heavyweights of his generation) - but I was saying it long before any of that.
Why do people have Wlad above Vitali? Vitali would have wiped the floor with him, his 2 losses were due to injury, it can only be longevity surely?! Usyk Vitali Loma Wlad Gvodzyk
Because Wlad has a far, far better resume. And what's proven is real, what's asserted without proof is hype. That's not to say that Vitali was all hype, but claims that he'd have easily beaten his brother aren't really defensible and come down to hype. Wlad was the better boxer with the better record - it's really that simple.
Wlad is the greatest Ukrainian boxer of all time, without question IMO. People are saying Usyk, Usyk may be the best, but Wlad is the greatest.
Oh idk... Wlad was famous whilst active for longest. But Wlad didn't win most of his biggest fights on the road, against opponents who had advantages. Even in some of the best wins on his resume (in terms of best names/fighters), he was negative and borderline breaking the rules in a way that Usyk hasn't... Usyk's never hugged an opponent to the extent that Wlad did to Povetkin, for example. You might actually have it completely backwards ... H2H, Wlad might have won and in that sense been the best - but Usyks ring etiquette and humility makes him the greatest.
Maybe because wouldas don't exist and that's just your opinion on the matter? Wlad's resume is way better than Vitali's, who's best wins are Corrie Sanders and Samuel Peter, lol. Wlad is way more accompolished and beat better guys. He's clearly better in the historical perspective.
