It was great, but bittersweet for Marvin as his victory celebration was interrupted by a bunch of animals bombarding the ring with full beer bottles.

timothy bradley vs junior witter - I'm british but I loved his attitude to take the fight to witter, great moment when he was being carried around crying!

McCallum is more Jamaican than Bob Marley, McCall was a good win, Witherspoon was the champ going against a young Bruno, Laing was a crackhead by the time of the Smith fight, Brian Nielson was a joke, Nicky Cook wasnt even above Euro Level, and Witter was just asking for his ass to be kicked, and was lucky against Kotelnik, but still Bradley came over and did his thing.

So only Bradley and McCall cut it for me, but good list nonetheless.

Marvin's still bitter about it to this day, i rememebr him in the BBC studio during the Audley Harrison early pro days, and they asked him, and he looked like he was gonna go all out Hagler-Hearns third round on him.

Plus he still considered himself the true Middleweight champion lol

Foreman was cultivating the "villainous heel" personal, at the time. He was good at using whatever act he needed to survive and thrive... now, he's comfortable and can be the good persona that he actually is.

So, definitely Ali vs. every 90+ degree fight he says he nearly died in.

the record of american fighters abroad is disgracefull, they usually fold like a deck chair on foreign soil.

It doesn't matter how the situation was in that time, it's about that bout beïng called as relevant for this tread... If you only read the title ok, but if you read the TS' post it isn't relevant at all.
Both fighters where fighting 'abroad', noone had actual home advantage but Ali actually had much more than home advantage how events played out.
Incredible victory without a doubt, don't let my avatar fool you in this one, it's incredible what Ali did. But it isn't relevant for this tread!

I think that was the 'hidden agenda' of the TS to begin with! :D

Now hold on there, i'm more fair and balanced than 'Billo' Reilly, so cut that out!

I'd seen that video of Hill, and it got me thinking that i'd never seen any American fighter do that before, Like i was brought up on Nigel Benn and Hamed, going into other ppls backyards and whooping ass, so thought i'd share it lol.

Oh another one is Mickey Ward vs Shea Neary.

Getting a draw on your home soil, doesn't look like a great overseas victory to me... :huh
