I put Neilsen and Laing in because they were overwhelming favourites in both of their fights. Luevano over Cook as well due to how dominant he was. But McCallum :patsch my mistake :yep:oops:

Dayum, looking at all the fights suggested particularly the ones where an American leaves to fight in the other fighter's country there isnt a lot of historical significance.

    My favorite is Cunningham/Huck.

Huck was really hypped as the next best and a sure fire champion. So much trash talk by Huck and Cunningham was humbled all the way. I thought he was only showing up for the payday. Not only does he school him but knocks him out as well towards the end.

See my viewing of that was totally different, i just thoguht it was another loud mouth German Hype job who was gonna get the beating of his life from a guy right on his game.
Infact i was disappointed in USS for not finishing it earlier, cos he had this boys number all the way thru, and i thought he was just asking for trouble letting it go to the scorecards. But it was a vicous assault in that last round.

I dont know how you could see that at all, Cunningham was coming off 2 very close fights against Wlod ( a polish fighter with a padded up record) and Huck was coming off a win against Tokarov another fighter who was really hypped as the next best thing.

Well i didnt really think Cunningham had any problems at all against Wlod, and thought it was a horrible decision the first time around, and just as bad the second, USS won both matches by atleast 4-5 rounds.
As far as Huck goes, he seemed really one dimensional, even in his match against Tokarov, and being young and believing all his hype, i was just expecting the more experinced and cultured Cunningham to go to town on him, which in the end he did.

Jack Johnson beat Tommy Burns in Australia for the Heavyweight Title. OK, Burns was Canadian but I bet I know who the crowd was rooting for.

Usually ist because food poisoning (no fast food available) and German judges in each corner ....

Brewster - Krasniqui was nice, food good and friendly German judges.

the two that immediately spring to mind are:

marvin hagler going to england and kicking alan minter's ass

donald curry going to england and kicking colin jones's ass

There were several factors that made Lopez over Kotey a really sweet victory.

1; Danny had a difficult time overcoming the beating Chacon gave him. Many "experts" said he was shot.

    2; 100,000 screaming Kotey fans.

3; You may not realize this, but only 3 of Little Red's 42 wins came by decision.

In essence Danny went from shot club fighter, to dominate world champion, to IBHOF inductee on the heels of the Kotey win.
