Greatest waste of talent in boxing history?

    I'm not saying Tony Ayala is the #1 answer but KO Magazine used to have a "Tony Ayala wasted talent award"...which was once won by Tony Ayala!

    Kirlkland Laing is a good shout, another Brit that could have achieved more was Pat Barrett, the Barrett that KOd Efrem Callamati in Italy would have done that to anyone if he landed the said shot.

    Tony Tucker, another guy who had all the physical attributes. Reading about him in the excellent book The Long Round you realise how his potential was sapped by his father mismanagement.

    Two types of Wasted Talent...

    1) foolish or stupid fighters screwing up their own careers or possibility.
    2) Screwed by Managers, Promoters and Boxing Corruption...

    and a 3rd, I guess, Life - Accident, Health/Death, or Social Family & Economic Dynamics.

    Sadly, all 3 categories have upset quite a few great fighters.

    Obviously not a waste of talent but Mike Tyson qualifies for all three there.
