:yep Fair enough, Hearns' Cruiser belt was junk.

However he still fought at Cruiser; Welter to Cruiser is impressive.

Hearns is among the greatest 'weight jumpers' ever.

    Harry Greb!!!

He fought top heavyweight contenders without even moving up in weight, and beat some of them.

James Toney won his first belt at MW weighing 157lbs. He defended his IBA HW belt at 257lbs a couple months back (for all what it's worth)

I overheard a funny discussion between Hearns and Johnny Nelson a few months ago when Hearns was insisting that he held the WBO cruiserweight title when Johnny did. Johnny was kind of humouring him and nodding his head.

RJJ - he could be favored or seen at least as having a good chance against anyone in history at LHW, while he most likely was at his best at 168. Not many fighters would be favored against anyone in two weightclasses.

Hearns - someone who did his best work at 147 - 154 as a terrifying puncher who goes up to 175 to use boxing skills to beat a skilled Virgil Hill - pretty amazing stuff.

Pacquiao - seems to get stronger going up in weight, dominated fights against fighters that are supposed to be too big for him.

Honorable mention: Chris Byrd. I mean the guy would be a medium - sized LHW and did quite well at HW. While Spinks or Moorer have the one more meaningful win at HW, Byrd had a long career with several good wins, which may be more difficult than one win over a big name.
