As any sane person would! Floyd couldn't do anything with Emile in any sort of fight. The shots he'd hit Emile with wouldn't be an alarm clock for Griffith, if he so wanted to he could just beat Mayweather up instead of boxing at all. A true "Boy meets man" type of fight.

Journeyman, I have nothing but huge respect for Emile Griffith. He had quick hands, excellent stamina, and terrific durability. And he had a long successful career. But Mayweather was also quite a remarkable boxer. Bigger doesn’t always mean better. Sometimes but not always. And I believe that Floyd demonstrated that he was an excellent fighter at 147. He was never an undisputed champion, though. That’s something Griffith has over him. I see that you’re quite an Emile Griffith enthusiast, and that’s great. Why don’t you give us your assessment of Griffith and tell us why you feel that he ranks over Floyd Mayweather at welterweight—-Mark

I’ll let you begin. First I’d like you to present your argument for Mayweathers achievements at 147lbs.
