I take exception to this. Dustin Nichols at his best fighting weight of 350lb is clearly fatter than the Bean.

It's not even meant as a putdown. Wlad is one of the most dominant champs in division's history. He is also one of the most frightening specimens to enter the ring. And not that it would be impossible for Jack to beat him. But based on their respective assets, abilities and competition, I just wouldn't bet on it.

 

I think Waldo overcame that tendency and went on to go unbeaten for a decade whilst fighting top level, modern sized opposition. Perhaps we should put that well-tested, verified version of Wlad in the ring against the guy who had 180 magical seconds against a doddering old rodeo hand that have since been extrapolated to him defeating every known champ that followed him no matter how young, well-trained and fit they be.

 

If he hits Wlad with the punches that he hit Willard with then Wlad is gone.

Wlad would be one mistake away from disaster.

 

Doubtful, esp when considering Dempsey in his prime had losses to middleweights, getting stopped in a couple. Personally Dempsey's a lot more myth than reality. I'd pick Marciano to destroy him.

 

I consider Marciano to be the greater fighter of the two, but Dempsey would have been pure poison for him!

 

Wlad ducked Corrie Sanders. Real ATGs always take rematches , they don't run away from them like Wlad did.

Even David Price had the gonads go immediately rematch Tony Tiger. And Pricey was able to win a round off Povetkin legally whereas Wlad couldn't win even win a minute of any round against Povetkin legally.
