Sugar Ray Robinson Carmen Basilio Gene Fullmer Bobo Olson Rocky Graziano Randy Turpin Jake La Motta Kid Gavilan Henry Armstrong Sammy Angott Fritzie Zivic Top 5 from those.
Muhammad Ali Joe Frazier George Foreman Bob Foster Sonny Liston Archie Moore Sam Langford Tiger Flowers Harry Wills Jeff Clark Stanley Ketchel Joe Gans
Ali has wins over Liston, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, Shavers, Patterson, Moore, Lyle, Quarry, Foster that's a pretty incredible list of wins.
I wasnt saying its the best or anything, i was just picking top class fighters and seeing what their best 5 wins are
Holyfield has a good one as well: For name recognition: Tyson (x2) Bowe Quawi Foreman Holmes Moorer might sneak in if it was for the quality of the win.
Stick to the General Forum. His resume is possibly not in the top 80 or so of all time. And that is the truth, if you compare him to guys like Billy Petrolle, McLarnin, and the less thought of guys.
Chris Byrd's certainly isn't the best of all time, but considering the context of this thread... Evander Holyfield David Tua Vitali Klitschko Jameel McCline And to round that out you have your pick of Bert Cooper, Purrity, Maurice Harris or whatever other B-Level guy. Not bad for someone who started boxing as a middleweight at all.
Sugar Ray Robby, Ali, Leonard for sure. Arguello has lots of quality wins: Olivares, Chacon, Boza Edwards, Escalera twice, Watt, Navarette, Ganigan, Mancini. Not quite as high quality as some others but definitely a high quantity.
People criticize Roy Jones Jr's resume, but the wins over two HOFers who were young and at world title level, James Toney & Bernard Hopkins, and how easy he made those wins look, boy are they great wins now. Who else that's currently fighting has beaten two prime ATGs?? Maybe only Pacquiao (in Barrera I, Marquez II, Morales I+II) or Hopkins (Trinidad, DLH, Winky), but I still think RJJ has the best wins on his resume of our era. Best all-round resume probably Sugar Ray Leonard or Muhammad Ali.
