Greb fight footage????

i remember a thread onhow archivists dont say they have footage of a so and so fighter becuase it would mean they would be under scrutiny.

archivists and historians dont sale only trade fights.

it was the same for burley. everyone thought he was lost in the mists of time. but it pops up due to film being able to be uploaded digitally.

also it was film they used to record these fights not tape. so it was a very expensive process. a reaosn why there isnt much footage on anyone not in the limelight pre 20's

also this maybe a reason of what style of fighting he had. he was a light heavy and middleiweght champ and contender...why wasnt it put down in to foage. if it was boring then there is a reason, he was of course not a glitzy figther and used workrate and awkward punches to beat hs man.

most of the fights i have seen at this time consist of either punchers,pure boxers or at least a clean fight. greb never had a clean fight.

It is to my understanding no films of Greb fighting exists. There are vids of him sparring and shadowboxing, but none of his fights, from what I recall.

 

Its always possible of couse.
I do know some of the Tunney fights were film. So was Walker.

So its possible. If some guy is hovering over it, it would be nice to say yes I have Walker Greb, but I wont give it to any one. That way we will know for sure lol.

Greb was a true great, I have nearly all of his big fights. I'll sell each individual fight for 10,000 or the entire career set for 40,000 dollars. If you're interested just post so and I'll get to you.

If I like you I might cut you a deal.

 

Stylistically I'd compare Greb to a higher volume Barrera type

 

Any ideas where I can get the Greb-Tunney trilogy? I need it to complete my Greb fight series.
