I thought aussie ESB was split on who would win....I remember I was...I ended sitting on the fence saying cheering for Green but think RJJ will win....looks like I was the only one

In regards to sparring, i know Shannan Taylor has been helping Briggs.

a lot of people always go back to that argument of "danny should be fighting better boxers not shot to **** fighters with big names" but people tend to forget danny himself is 37, why would he take a high risk fight with a person who is a nobody to the casual observer, and make little profit from it, rather than fight a name who the general public know and show an interest in, its sad but its business and i still enjoy dannys fights theres always fireworks and generally a solid undercard.

    I agree...
I think its pretty clear Danny only came back to make some money, and i dont know how anyone can blame him for that. He's just doing what 90% of other fighters are doing!! Picking Jones jr and Siacca was very smart move to earn him some $$$ without much risk.

Chad Dawson fought Johnson and Tarver
    Hatton fought castillo
Hopkins fought Orneleas after beating pavlik
Mayweather fought sharmba mitchell and gatti after tszyu ko him in 3
    Tszyu fought leija
    Delahoya fought forbes
    Paul williams fought phillips
    Bute fought miranda

dont you mean when Joe "slapped" 9 shades of **** out of him?? the most overrated, terrible fighter to ever watch. 90 percent of his slaps would not score in amateur boxing. talk about somebody fighting over the hill fighters,, joe made a career of doing that

For christ sakes mate, Joe is one of the best fighters in the last 20 years, you might not like his style or his choice of opponents but he was a severly talented fighter.

His hands were ****ed in the latter part of his career, Get some of his early fights and have a look at his hand speed and accuracy of his punches. He also had power before his hands ****ed up.

Hopkins also fought RJJ after Green had stopped him, rather than accepting Green's challenge, even though their contract stipulated they each (he and RJJ) had to win their next fights before rematching.

true but did any of those then go on to badmouth another fighter in the press and then proceed to cherrypick worse than the guy hes criticizing??
no because all of them had a profile.Green has no profile without mentioning Mundine.

Briggsy was very coy on the radio the other night about who he'd been sparring with. Was asked twice and avoided answering both times.

I listened to the sweet science boxing show and after hearing Paul talk last night i have no doubt this is going to be a war:deal
I think there has been way to much bagging of this fight on this forum but once the fight takes place people will realise they were wrong.
Paul isn't going to dog it like Siaca did, this will be a genuine test for Danny and without doubt will be his toughest fight since coming back IMO.
I think fight fans always think theres some sort of stigma attatched to a fighter coming back after retiring however that is because it's usually a shot fighter who was finished even before their career ended.
Now in Paul's case he retired as the no.1 contender due to health reasons, these health issues have now been resolved and he wants to have another shot.
Don't forget Briggs is a natural born fighter who has kept himself in shape by training fighters and i think people forget that he is 3 years younger than Danny.
If Brigg's can come in at even 85% of the version that fought Adamek it will be ****ing on like donkey kong:yep
