All banter aside, think about how shameful this scenario of orchestration is. It seems Danny is just being given a title at cruiserweight (though i know nothing about his opponent) so that Roy can take it off him and become a five weight division champ.

Even though both Green and RJJ spoke well etc, that's exactly the impression I got from what RJJ said. Almost like he didn't want to be one of the guys who initially fought for it, but only too happy to take it straight afterwards.

Yeah and you know Green will be crowing about how great he is because he's won a title with the big boys and the public will think he's fighting Mike Tyson next. That is if he wins of course, if his opponent can box at all then Green's in trouble what with the calibre of fighter he's been facing for years now.

Sadly the guy Green is fighting is a complete waste of time, so i expect a early KO for Green vs the Argentine bum.

Nice avatar tho....im a huge fan of Korobov.

RJJ continues to look for path of least resistance - from Boxing Scene dot com.

'Despite both Green and Dominguez primarily campaigning as light heavyweights, there are talks of the fight being sanctioned as a vacant cruiserweight title fight. Somehow, someway, a sanctioning body deems it acceptable to put their cruiserweight title on the line for a fight between fringe light heavyweight contenders'.

'Even worse, the plan is for Jones to face the winner, with the tagline that a win in such a fight would earn him the distinction of becoming a five-division “world” champion'.

'On the surface, it’s easy to dismiss this claim. Alphabet title belts are a dime a dozen these days, and the belt at stake (the IBO) isn’t even considered among the big three (or four, depending on your viewpoint)'.

'But there is a problem with that. Some writers have taken it upon themselves to classify this particular alphabet group as the one to which we should turn in seeking true champions'.

Comment: IMO it's pretty hard to argue with what they are saying. Hey, bring on Green v Jones in Melbourne, but the title is certainly 'got-up', no question about it.

Its hard now with quite a few big names holding the IBO title for the jurnos not to take notice of the IBO......however I agree on the above.
