Well this is the second time I feel all warm and fuzzy this morning

FFS if you are in his team maybe it's you that should jump in the ring cold and get spanked.......get the guy a few fights before Green :patsch

For the record I like Paul and have meet him more than 50 times.

I'm concerned about his health coming in against a hard puncher cold like this.

Yeah I dont know why hes not fighting 2 guys in 2 months...getting KO's each fight and call Green out after each fight...they would sell lots more tickets that way and Briggs will be better for the run

Before they both retired I'd have picked Briggs easily. Without some recent form, or much understanding of what health issues prompted the retirement, it's hard to know just how the time out of the ring will affect Briggs, but he's defintely got the skills.
Danny's time in the headlines might also help to make Briggs a very good betting option, as plenty of punters will throw their money behind Green. I'd be backing Briggs anyway. here's hoping for a nice war!

I think both of these guys should be given credit for making this fight. They both find it hard to get big names mainly because they are risks to fight compared to alot that cannot either throw a punch or take one(or both) and these two can, and considering big names will not get much credit for beating them, and if they lose their career takes a big hit, thats why they are always in the same position of finding it hard to get a big fight.

Its obvious why Briggs takes this fight because it progresses him directly up the rankings and possible big fights alot sooner and he has always wanted to fight the best, and Green is Australia's best at this weight and Green brings alot of hype to aussie fans which translates to a decent earner and more publicity if Briggs wins.

Another thing to consider is that if Briggs takes any tune ups it could possibly make it harder to get an opponents like Green(someone that can elevate him quickly with a title) in the ring, as he probably knows a primed and ready Briggs is a much greater risk.

Personally i think if Briggs is 90% he most likely wins, though against decent punches u can never be too sure. Taking into consideration that certain styles suit certain opponents, i really think Danny style (movement, stance, defense) suits Briggs. Danny gets caught alot with quick punches, especially jabs, and is normally happy to take 1 to land 1 or 2 bigger bombs. As well Danny's head/body movement is poor and this makes him a sitting duck for someone like Briggs that follows his quick/stiff jabs with a compact powerful right hand, or right left combo. If that trend continues into this fight and Briggs is ready, he most likely wins.
