Peck great post, don't mean to agree with all of that, but gee great insight.

Lets get one thing straight, Danny Green made his name off Anthony Mundine and Anthony Mundine alone................. let's not get too caught up with this simple fact, albeit its true :patsch.

God bless u Danny Green, you are not just a b grade fighter, but a very good one at that.

Good on Green for having a go but it was always Wlods fight to lose... Green still likes banging away at the back of his opponents heads and he still can't keep his head on in a fight.
Green was stealing the fight but his problem was as it's always been, that as soon as he gets tagged he gets stiffer and opens himself up to more punishment. His ego puts him in danger, if he has a plan to box then he needs to stick to that instead of changing his gameplan in the moment just to be a 'tough' guy.
He was getting tired because he's still way too stiff, he can't relax and focus, all he can do is try to barge through and grit it out.
He just hasn't ever had the mentality to be a top guy, he's mentally weak.

I spoke with someone who saw the cards & apparently Green was ahead on all 3 - 97-93, 97-93, 96-93.

    Few obs:

Daud yordan is world class and a very neat fighter. Archuleta is obviously cooked so no real guide there, even though barry michael already annoints yordan as a lock for a world title. He might get one but having come up short in two attempts previously, you would think barry would be a little more measured. Still, yordan is classy.

Tomlinson v herrera was as good a fight as you will see anywhere, even if both are a rung short of the top of the division. Both boys deserve major credit for the fight they put on...it had a bit of everything. Tomlinsons stamina was great but....he made it harder than it needed to be....he didnt have to brawl with the mexican. He had faster hands and was a better boxer, he needed to fight like that. I guess he couldnt help himself, we got a treat anyway. Fighting with cut eyes and
a hard headed mexican who kept coming was very impressive. He stood up to be counted last night, very brave effort from wild will. That said, i think his defence will be his down fall as he goes up a notch in competition. But you know tomlinson will give his best. No probs with the scorecards....the mexican tired late and tommo swept the last few rds to take a deserved win.

Green was brave and fought well to stay ahead of the pole for just about all of the fight, then bam. All over. Its clear....green isnt a true cruiser. He cant carry the extra weight for 12 rds without tiring badly. And his chin doesnt hold up against legit punchers at 200 lbs. it was the night of the jab, and danny matched the pole and even shaded him for 10 rds. The pole is peculiar...very strong, keeps it tidy, but he NEVER threw one body shot. I cant remember seeing one. He is strictly a head hunter. But he was in great physical shape and was able to land the punch that takes him home with the belt.

Only wayched 3 rds of chris john v merdov. Chris was up against a very awkward fighter as far as height and reach goes but from what i saw it looked like he had found his range and was ready to take over the fight when i went home. In saying that, chris looked more sloppy than what we usually see...he was missing a fair bit, we dont see that from john. But again, the opponent had very awkward features if not much else. So what happened....i havent even checked the result...but i read something about john had to survive rd 12???

    And btw barry...

Thanks for the lesson on the Enswell even if you were factually wrong, not unusual for silly barry.

You cant push blood/swelling away with a cold press. It cant happen.

    He's a dill.

Saying he "had to survive" is going a bit overboard.

He got hit a lot. Merdov has virtually no power, though, so John was never hurt. There was never a moment where you thought "****, Merdov is going to pull this one out of the fire with a classic come-from-behind stoppage!". Absolutely not one millisecond. It was more like "Oh, I guess not a shutout after all then :conf "

Just exhausted and taking a bit more than he was still dishing out. And only in the twelfth.

Rounds 1-11 were domination by the Indo.

Id be ashamed of pulling out Siaca from Rehab and going back on my word to smoke Mundine out his hole.

Id be ashamed if i told people they all had a soft part of their skull. (fck his kids are gonna cop that one at school)

Id be ashamed if i pulled a sick Paul Briggs out of retirment and gave him 6 weeks to train for a title fight, calling him a dog on TV then doing a flip flop the very next day.

Id be ashamed if i retired only to come back out then claim i wanna win as many titles as possible, only to cherry pick with the IBO no mandatory title belt for 2 yrs before being exposed by a shot Commentator in Tarver.

Id be ashamed of getting me ass kicked by Mundine, especially after seeing what Woods did to him. Half the country hates Danny Green, prob more, most of his fans are in Perth and even then he is loosing many of them.

The Paul Briggs bullsht put a huge taste in peoples mouths they did not like, only the bogan fckwits now support Danny Green or the people who wanna be groupies like Leon, LJD, Dawsos or people who want to be on his undercard. Lets face it, Money talks and Dannys got plenty!

I guess his kids can be happy about that but Legacy wise, lol they will eventually discover that their old man was a fraud!
