Green clay 10-0 1961 before to face Sonny banks. 195 pounds.

Green mike tyson 10-0 1985 before he fought any name after of the fight with Robert collay. 217pounds.
Just 2 undefeated kids. Imagine they fight in the same era. Who keep undefeated after this fight?

(READ THE THREAD!! MANY PEOPLE THINK THAT 1985 WAS ALWAYS THE SAME TYSON, EVEN IF HE WAS GREEN IN HIS DEBUT HE WAS THE SAME WHO FOUGHT SPINKS).

Im not sure but.. You could be right.tyson developed his body earlier than clay.tyson was also in his prime weight here and ali was a skinny boy fast like hell. Tough fight anyway

I think Alis punch resistance was questionable early on, and Tyson was more seasoned.

fully focused, not the clown during sonny banks (which is the only reason he was floored), would outpoint tyson

Oh boy now i am imaginating it.this fight would be a hell. Clay has a lot of confidence, tyson was a force of the nature and he was fast too, not like clay but still he has the speed enough to catch him sometimes. I would have paid a lot to see this fight in live

his punch resistance was the same as it was, his attitude was the issue.

Punch resistance is largely mental and develops with experience which is why he was able to take tremendous punishment later on in his career..he was used to it.

In his 10th fight, the overconfident Clay was never really hit properly and Tyson sure hooked harder than Cooper...

cooper fought a pretty much world level ali, and didn't stand a chance, he lucked that ali was being stupid, and even then couldn't capitalise nor hurt him enough to stop him.

Tyson was unusally physically matured for someone so young.

I don't agree that Tyson was more seasoned.. Ali had competed in the olympics and was a much better established amateur than Tyson was. And while neither man was facing world beaters with only 10 fights, the men who Ali fought at least had winning records.. Hell for as bad as Lamar Clark was the guy was 44-2. Tyson's first 10 fights were against pure cans.

It is truth too. So it is more balanced. Experienced boy vs fully developed strong boy
