Green has a new offer for hopkins

It is absolute lunacy to expect B-Hop to take a 50-50 split with someone like Danny Green. Lunacy. That's like asking Mayweather to take a 50-50 split with Matthew Hatton or Pacman to take a 50-50 split with Paulie Malignaggi!

 

I don't have to ask Dibella. If a guy thinks that Australia is in Europe then I wouldn't fancy his chances as business man!

the man is seriously too picky and a greedy ******* trying to get the bears den of the share all the time. he should realize that the world doesnt revolve around him and even if a 50/50 offer comes with someone who has a good national following like Green or Adamek, its bound to make cents, but no... he wants to negotiation and nibble on the concepts and try to sleaze his way into getting more....and if it dont work he escapes the whole idea just like he did with Adamek... thinking he could get a "better deal" with a different opponent....

danny green is a nobody, i liken his win to danny williams' against an old mike tyson. it should set up a decent payday for him against a far bigger name like bernard hopkins. danny green will then be brought back down to earth with an almighty thud and then we will all forget who he is again...

 

you guys may not realise this- but Green is a bigger PPV star here in Australia than what Hopkins is in America- despite the dramatic population differences. The two biggest fights in Australia were Jones-Hopkins and Mundine- Hopkins. He may have been the B side on both fights- but there is no doubt he brings a good amount of viewers on this end. The last two fights apparently his draw was something like 5 million dollars on his end. So a fight with Hopkins although in America - wouldnt raise much - but in Australia- would raise alot of money. In australia- ALL the pubs buy PPV at a higher rate than households- so it raises alot of cash. I think they should just split it-
Hopkins with 80/20 for USA PPV-
and Green 80/20 for Australia PPV

i think you would all be surprised with who makes more money. Hopkins is obviously the bigger star, greater fighter- all of that- but Green is a local icon- almost as big as Ctoo is to PR or Hatton to the brits . The only reason Hopkins accepted 50.50 initially was because he was surpirsed to see how much Green generated- it was only after he went home and thought- hey im the star here- did he renege on his intial agreement.

 

most people tuned into the green v mundine fight cos of their hate for mundine and wanting to see him get KTFO haha

Bernard Hopkins is a LIVING LEGEND!!!!! Danny Green had some gall to ask an ATG like Nard for a 50/50 split. Green is a clubfighter that dropped lucky & KO'd a shot 10 yrs over the hill Roy Jones jr.

I'm not saying Danny has achieved anywhere near what Bhop has in his career but he sure as hell ain't no club fighter.

 

Amen. Only Malignaggi is better and higher profile than Green, so it's more like asking Pacquiao take a 50/50 split with...Amir Khan.

 

hopkins will make double the cash against green than he would against any other opponent and he is having a sook about a few dollars. chicken ****.

he will make millions but still wants a couple more dollars. chicken ****.

the fool forgets that all this would do is make green more pissed and hopkins will be punished a little bit extra in the ring.
