Green KO Jones Round 1 Amazing !

Full credit must go to Danny Green.
Prooved me & many others wrong & the stoppage was well & truly justified.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is completely full of it.
I personally would have stopped it after those 2 massive uppercuts 10 secs earlier.
A minor fight would have been stopped long before no question.
Jones needs to retire asap.

Aaron...I'm also a bit saddened to see a champion go out like that, but the stoppage was pretty legit. Had it of gone on longer he may have looked even worse for wares afterwards.

 

Hopefully Roy will finally accept the fact he is shot to **** and retire for good.

I agree lets not get overboard like some are saying. It was a good win, but for some to say this is one of the most remarkable achievements in Australian sporting history is just a bit much.

Hopkins must be spewing. . . potential big payday gone down the drain.

 

It was a great win. The writing has been on the wall for Roy for a long long time. But most were picking him to win. Hindsight is a lovely thing...

 

That was painful to watch as a Roy Jones fan and Danny Green hater, i thought that result could happen but i didn't think it would. Congrats to Green, i just hope he doesn't blow it out of proportion and proclaim how great he is now how i expect him too. Also i wouldn't mind seeing Hops give him a boxing lesson

 

Well said....It's gunna sicken me to see Green treated as the second coming of JC for this among the general public.

 

Wouldnt mind seeing him fight Hopkins too...coz no way is Hopkins damaged goods like ol Roy.
Still tho congrats on smashing an old fighter as quick as he did.

 

I think Green is excited since a lot of people including so called boxing experts on forums everywhere said Roy was gonna stop green when everr he wanted etc or embarress him to a UD and do the same he did to Lacy.

 

Mixed feelings from what i saw live, but what a moment! Having watched it dozens of times all I can say is You ****en beauty Danny!! Roy please retire you are a legend.

 

My eyes must be shot - only got to see one replay but i thought the punch that decked roy was to the back of his neck.

Lets not trash Greens win by saying RJJ is "now" shot :-(

He schooled Lacy a few months back.....most people would say Lacy v Green would be a 50/50 fight before Lacy v RJJ :deal

What a laughable post. Jeff Lacy is ****ing useless these days. Anyone would beat Jeff Lacy at the moment so don't make out that Roy was still something special because he schooled Lacy. Danny Green would also easily beat Lacy these days. A 50-50 fight you say between Lacy and Green. ****ING LOL.

 

well said ashley. I know lacy isnt brilliant but ppl were saying a lacy v green fight was a better contest and that rjj would school him and i include myself. I said tonight if green wins i do an undie run and i delivered. it was the most celebratory undie run i have ever done.
