spot on. He's exceeded all expectations and become hugely famous and popular in his home state. Just wondering, what were peoples thoughts on greeny when he was coming up through the ranks?
Because he taps into the bogan market they love him. They have an affinity with him though he would never mingle with them IRL. Look at him after the Briggs fight addressing the crowd. Brilliant. He will have a statue built in his honour next to Bon Scott's in Perth.
I love the bit at the end where Danny says'' I got to calm down before I go to the change room and give him another flogging.........errr give him the flogging he deserves''.
I see him as laconically Australian, down to earth, personable & likeable I'd hate to think how many, you included that would fit into the definition of a "bogan" ( whatever a ****ing bogan is), I reckon I'd get a huge belly laugh from the irony
Bang on. loved AC/DC was a Green fan back in the day. But he has changed,he is not the down to earth laid back ,hey true blue Aussie that he portrays. I have many bogan tendencies.
i see what your saying about how he has changed, that is certainly the truth after the briggs and siaca fights, at least in the media anyhow. But he has taken a step back and become more like his old self after those fights, and if you met him now I'm sure you'd get along great with him :good
Well there are plenty of good cruiser and light heavys out there if he wanted to compete. he has had a full career for an aussie fighter, definitely rode the mans name as far as it got him. the man does it too. If green has more fights good, more decent footage but man i could do without another promotion.
