Green should have been allowed to finish RJJ for good in that fight. Thanks to the ref, who probably saved RJJ's health, and some scheming from the two old cronies, the boxing public must now waste its time and money with Hopkins - RJJ, as if it is a meaningful fight. It was 5 years ago, not now.

Hopkins should be fighting Green if he thinks he can still cut it at the top. I personally think he can, but like PBF and the other pretenders, he needs to let his fists do the talking.

Make no mistake about it, Hopkins and RJJ would still fight even if Green had got a KO rather than a TKO victory. It seems it was inevitable to have this bull**** fight.

I'd rather say 10 years ago, but that's not the real point... Do you really have to waste your time and money? Does someone force you to pay and watch? Just don't pay and don't watch and be happy

Roy is great but to be honest had they let that fight go on Roy would have been stopped in a fashion where the fight he is having with Hopkins might not have happened since it would have been more conclusive had he gone down again. But this way the stoppage looks questionable, but it really wasn't. Roy was going to be knocked out in a minute or two.

I understand your point, but the stoppage didn't really look questionable mate. The ref did a good job of stopping the fight, it was clear that RJJ was gonna get KTFO and probably the stoppage saved him from taking more severe damage. Imo there's no point at all for Hopkins vs RJJ right now.

IDK 2 me, Roy got up, he was definitely out on his feet. But Green never landed thee shot to take him out. It wasnt as if Roy was standing there taking a pounding and the ref jumped in.
IDK i thought it was a bit premature.
And now this hand wrap thing, idk.
But I will be paying for the fight, I could care less @ the end of the day its Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins 2 HOF's going @ it.

Imo stoppage was not too early. Roy wasn´t able to throw back and he was really hurt, so i think it was the right call to stop the fight.

Jones was really hurt but perhaps if the fight had gone longer it would have looked better for Green, still, Jones has been knocked out before and it was dangerous, he was hurt badly.

Well, from my vantage point it looked as though a rabbit punch landed that hurt Jones. The whole match was a Pearl Harbor job, and that was a cheap shot Green landed!!

the punches green were throwing werent landing on Roys chin is what im saying, he was blocking them all. And he couldve potentially survived the round and regained his footing etc. And came back. It was a bit premature IMO

Yeah I def think it ended prematurely. Still doesn't give reason for why this bull**** fight is happening though. Everybody with half a brain thought there was no chance of the fight happening but BitchHop thought it was just about time to try take one of the blemishes off his resume, I hope they beat the **** out of each other with RJJ winning and both retiring.

Yeah, I don't get it... People are crying like they are gonna be tied down and forced to watch it.... Don't buy the fight if you don't want to watch it, it's simple. Hopkins is 45 himself, there is history between the two, I don't see what the big deal is.
