This is an easy win for Green in 2010 imo especially if Briggs as no lead in fights.

Prime for prime i would favour Briggs though.

he is selling himself - selling himself short with no warm up fights, thats why green wants him first fight back.

on another note is nathan still fighting, thought he had dropped to cruiserweight heard nothing on any fights though.

didn't know if he was on hold so paul could concentrate on his own comeback.

Let's not forget Green has barely been tested since his comeback too. He got 1 round of RJJ with a good punch, but I say there's no version of Briggs that goes out like that. The rest of his opponents this go round are all people I would expect Briggs to do the same to.

All I'm saying is it's still very possible Green is one non-tomato can away from showing he's no better than he was before.

seing Paul in the ring training prior to his retirement it was evident that he was having problems ( he was told by johnny to do 6 rounds after 4 got out when asked what was happening he said dont know jumped back in and did another 2 ) I am sure as has been mentioned that once he is back in full training and sparring he will know if he is having problems or not. He has been doing a heap of fitnesss so i would think he would have a fair idea now. He wasn't the best at all prior so I think he will come back 100% just 5 years too late to make it a great fight. He has Billy H in his corner so i am sure he will make 100% sure everything is OK with paul prior to putting him in the ring

speaking with j u s t i n he said there wasn't an announcement til next week. will be surprised but happy if the announcement of Green V Briggs is made tonight. i think it will be more along the lines that Paul is making a comeback. i would think a press Conference in Star City late next Week

i personally hope green v briggs doesnt go ahead, i cant see it ending well for briggsy at all especially with danny in the great shape hes in , id like to see danny really test himself with a legit cruiser. no matter who he fights there will still be people bringing down his choice of opponents.

I hope it happens as I want to see it. you are all negative ****s and whatever you say this is a big fight in Oz. There have been many fighters that have been out of the ring and come back as good as ever. klits v peter is the most recent. briggs has been "around a ring" since he retired, not as if he want walk abouts surfing!

seems to be one rule for the rest and one rule for green and other aussies (incl cumdine) but again that just shows the ignorance of most of those posting on this forum.

There would be a catchweight kinda agreement? For some reason I think Paul would be more comfortable at the cruiserweight limit? I might be completely wrong :D

    oh im enjoying this.
    http://www.theage.com.au/sport/boxing/mundine-is-now-insignificant-green-20091203-k85j.html

With the prospect of taking on Mundine immediately brushed aside, the possibility of fighting another aging legend in Bernard Hopkins now looms as a possibility.
"United States, Bernard Hopkins – who knows. There are massive draws out there," Green said.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl
or Manny 5 fights in 5 years Siaca and Paul 3 years retired with health problems Briggs.
