I consider the ring champ the true champ, Drews is lucky to crack the top ten light heavies, he is not a champion period end of story. Manny Siaca! Wow that guy's one of the best!
LOL u do realise i could give a **** about mundine who ran all night from Siaca and still only lost a split decision because siacas that ****
good to see you back jb1, and as always you have the best avatar!! i wonder if one eye will turn up to the Green fight? that would be cool to see, out of one eye :blood
Is there ever an occasion in boxing where Mundine doesn't enter your thoughts? atschYou're like deram with Kessler. You'd somehow feel the need to mention him during a Gatti/Ward discussion.
Do you think if I were to fight Tommy Hearns today it would still carry the same credibility as Ray Leonards victory over him? What about beating a 38 year old Tarver coming off an embarrassing loss to a 41 year old Hopkins and a close decision against a journeyman. Do you still think that beating Tarver is going to be equal to the way Roy Jones or Harding defeated him?
I knew that 3 letters - PMS Stuisy. I turn into the she devil :fire once a month but should be all good by Sunday, i'll tuck my horns away
No of course not, Tarver has not slipped as much as you seem to think though. Against the master boxer that was hopkins, milkdud looked discouraged and defeated from the opening bell he was never in it so you can't judge much from that. Against Muriqi (sp) he was coming off a year layoff and looked better than i expected, he was reasonably sharp, almost had him out of there a couple of times and won clearly, regardless of what the scorecards read. Come on mate, let's be real here, we're comparing Antonio Tarver (yes i know he's a ****wit, but still) to Stipe Drews. It's a massive step down no matter what way you look at it.
Not massive. Tarver was never that great to begin with. He lost to Johnson and Harding FFS. His legacy is built around beating an old RJJ with a punch that he threw with his eyes closed. Getting owned by a 41 year old middleweight champion is about as embarrassing a loss as you can suffer. And basically proves that yes, Tarver is very over rated. Drews has strung together some okay wins, and still a good 4 years younger then Tarver. I'm not claiming he is great here, but in the scheme of things within the division its still a credible opponent. Woods is in all honesty about the same level. Erdei a bit above. Dawson clearly the best, but I can't see many of these guys being interested in fighting him, because he is high risk low reward to some degree. What would you do in Dannys position? If he wins the belt then he can actually have some bargaining power in making some better fights happen.
Your a sick man. BTW did you deliberately go for the f*cking gayest picture of Kessler you could find?
