i hope it is toward the light heavy spectrum of things, thats where green always looked at his best , he is too small for cruiser and gets burnt out. Garth wood vs green would be an extremely ugly fight!
Seriously why is this guy not retiring ? He's about 38 yrs old, made far more money than his boxing talents ever warranted, has received two memorable beatings in his last 2 fights, can't cut it at the top cruiserweight level and I seriously doubt he could get down to fight at 175 in a healthy way. Whats he going to do ? Fight someone **** like Danny Santiago who someone mentioned earlier in the thread to line his pockets all the while making out that he is some boxing legend of Australia. The bloke has had a good run, a nice family and should retire.
i agree wholeheartedly francis. I think in greeny's case he is a bit addicted to the adrenaline and spotlight that boxing gives him, unless he can go down to light heavy and give it a good run there simply is no point.
Shouldn't the guy be worried about his health after two brutal ko's though ? More money than sense I think.
To line his pockets. Nobody here will bother with this fight or Mundine-McFart but alot of people will. We don't even know if it Santiago yet. Good luck to him and if Santiago pulls a Garth Wood we can all .
its danny santiago, greenys saying that he wants to fight mundine again, but he is also saying that they were approached by shumenov's people. He has also spoken to frank ****** about a big fight with cleverly i think? he said he just has to get past danny santiago and see how he deals with the weight loss
I just watched Beibut Shumenovs fight from last weekend and the guy didnt get hit with a shot, won 120-108 and when i was watching it i was thinking I bet Green and this guy will fight, Shumenov would be too slick for Green IMO
i agree. I think danny will see how he goes against danny santiago first, shumenov is an excellent boxer. I think danny would do better against a pascal stylistically, all of this is just conjecture at the moment though, i think he will beat santiago then fight mundine or retire.
http://www.aus-boxing.com/2012/06/0...ill-fight-danny-santiago-on-july-25-in-perth/ In this article he mentions Nathan Cleverley has offered to fight him.... I can see him going that route, a winnable fight.
