Went and watched green do some sparring yesterday he did 4 with Amman and 4 with a big black Yank who apparently recenty fought for a title they did one round in then one round out, you could see in each round green doing different things he looked very impressive. The NSW origin team were also there and had a bit of a chat with a few of the boys. soward is a definite for the game and Paul Gallen is primed for another big game. Mark Bosnich and Vic D were also watching along with mark Bouris. big media contingent though didn't see a whole lot on the news last night. Looking forward to a big Victory by the blues next week then 2 weeks later Green.
yes ipswich that was him a big southpaw http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=18619&cat=boxer was good to watch both guys and liked how green didn't have one guy do 4 then the other they did a round miss a round so they were fresh every round
Yer he's massive,he was talking the other day about sparring in America saying that he basically has to travel to get good sparring and he does it for free so to be able to come to Australia and get paid to train was a great experience. He also works a 9-5 job 5 days a week as well as training.
Lets just say it was a solid session with Greeny looking the worst for wear. He copped a cut at one point and was pretty bruised up. Robinson is a tough MF thats for sure.
Look at the second pic i posted, the size difference is plain to see for all, Greeny would struggle with any world class Cruiser..... He should be back down at Light Heavy
There are some training vids of Tarver on youtube I noticed the other day. Hard to tell how his weight is going but seems to be in good shape. http://www.youtube.com/user/MrTrvr01#p/a Looked a bit lackluster in the sparring but judging from his sweating and heavy breathing, he may well have been towards the end of his sessions and a bit tired.
