Green v Briggs - There's Got To Be More To It

This guy is a professional fighter not some drunken overweight bum ! .... he should know how to take a glancing blow to the side of the head.... either corrupt or medical issues ...

 

But if it's a dive then why would a fighter of his massive experience not make take the dive off a more convincing punch? If it's a dive then he wanted it to be somewhat obvious. Why? Why would he choose to **** his own future in the media like that?

I'm going with medical at this stage.

 

Maybe he thought it was a big punch or it'll look like a decent punch. In the heat of thje moment he felt some ping pong ball force on his head and thought "that'll do", but then in the replay it showed it for the ping pong ball shot that it was... too late for hindsight at that point...

 

Couldn't agree more mate - there are some people who really need to have a good hard look at themselves after this.

Could be. I don't think that's impossible, just less probable than the alternatives. I mean, he never struck me as a "that'll do" type. It could be that he's gone bad but he's a smart and experienced enough dude to make a better show of it.

The fact it appeared so unconvincing (especially since it happened before 30 seconds had even rolled around) is ironically what's making me think it's more likely medical. If a guy of Briggs' streetsmarts is going to dive, he knows plenty well how to make it look convincing.

And to be clear, I'm not saying the guy is innocent even if it's medical. If he was crook in the few days pre-fight he should've pulled out before everybody got all dolled up for the dance.
