Greens opposition of late has been appalling to say the least, the only reference we have is BJ. Green didn't struggle with the fight as a whole, but he did struggle with certain aspects of BJ. BJ had moments of opening up which had Green backing up and almost out of his depth, BJ just didn't do it often enough. As I already said, BJ is a nothing, and Green had just enough to keep it under control, but he showed no signs of anything even remotely special. Perhaps, but the difference is marginal IMO. Fitter at the moment, yes. Faster, maybe, slightly. Technically better, barely. Green is also smaller and older. Perhaps, but he did look better with McCracken. And as I said above, the weight issue might be something he needs to get used to, he has dropped 30lbs. The loss to Tua certainly hurt him mentally, but again, he seems to be improving. The main thrust of my argument is not so much that I think Cameron is anything flash and can hang with Greens hype. But more to do with that Greens hype is much bigger than he is and that he is little better than Cameron. Coming from someone who quite liked Green, I think the last part of his career has been really disappointing in not only his level of opposition, but even in any sign of showing real ability. Just so you know it's not blind hate forming these opinions.
you're not going to get me again mate:nono i bought Green/Briggs because of your comparing it with Vitali's return after a lengthy lay off.fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.Greens punch resistance is good so i cant see a Garth Woods like surprise KO for Cameron.
Sorry, didn't mean it. :yep I don't see a Woods surprise either, I just don't see Green battering Cameron as a few have put it. I see a good competitive fight. Many seem to think Green should be fighting top level opponents, I don't because he will get beaten badly.
I dont think Cameron has found his peak at that weight, he hasnt looked to great in his last couple of fights, i dont think Cameron can beat Green and its just another money grab fight for Green machine promtions, fighting a domestic level fighter and claiming you can conqure the world LOL... Then again this is boxing, if cameron does peak and is much sharper he could do a woods on Green? who knows, one can only hope that it will backfire in Greens face.
shane cameron hasnt brought any power down with him, and he has looked very avge against daniel ammann and anthony mccraken who did show up in shape recspectivly, but still danny green and green machine promotions are trying to pull the " WOOL" over ur eyes with kiwi shane cameron in believing he is world class.. everytime he has stepped up in class he has been ko'd by david tua and friday ahunya, who has shane cameron beaten really ? a old bob mirovic, john hopoate, colin wilson, he is "B-C" class fighter and green promotions are "trying" to pass it off on PPV ... if this is the case , i hope shane cameron does KNOCK Danny Green out, for not having a go and not stepping up and robbing the australian public and being a "fraud champion" as he has accused mundine of doing !!
seriously who has cameron fought to deerve a shot at green? .... and how come green is happy sitting in cruise control with his 5th rate title when he could take on a worth while contender.. danny green lost his balls when he retired and when he came back it all became a business interest..
Been doing a bit of fishing m8 and relaxing with the family, getting nice and plump etc, i usually post more when im bored or at work. Also got a bit on atm so im under the pump with the missus. Shtbag Zelky will have his day if he wants it this month. cant say much more about it other than that. On a side note, i finally managed to get the Danny Green book, i tell you m8 its a bit of a laught reading some of the things he says in contrast to what he is doing now. I didnt pay for the book, i borrowed it from a mate who wanted to check out the Johhny Lewis book, he mention he had it and i asked if he could drop it off for a read, its not like the Johnny lewis book and looks to be writen in a very dioplomatic manner, still intresting and does make me give Green a little respect but not much
I read that book when it came out and yeah, he's proven himself to be a hypocrite since coming out of retirement. What I found interesting/entertaining were his stories of punching on with basically anyone who crossed him Sounds like he was an aggro **** when he was younger, always blueing, although not on the same level as Briggsie used to :yep
i was being a smartarse.sure he come out of retirement and called out Mundine who was a MW but you have to give him some credit for fighting Dominguez for the vacant IBO strap and getting RJJ out here with the lure of winning a belt in the only division between MW and HW he hadnt won a title in and the 3 mill.and he did try and get Nard here. but yeah since then hes become Mundine II.
