He'll put up a better fight than Lacy IMO.

RJJ will toy with Green all night. I do however hope that Green lands a few good shots and maybe even a KD on RJJ. RJJ needs to know that dominating a shot Lacy does not make him invincible again. His fight with BH should be his last.

Still would have loved to see RJJ and Dariusz go toe to toe back in the day...

I hope it does come off left jab. But you kinda do get the impression that Danny is just some is a (if worst comes to worst) option.

You know when you're at a night club and theres always some easy pickings girl thats there for the taking, but you stick around anyway to try and pick up something better?

It looks as though Roy is still trying to get a rematch with Hopkins, but if that falls through, he'll fight Danny.

If it does go through, I'm there. :good

 

On another note...did anyone see Fenech on FSN earlier on?

He was going on about how Hoppa/Wilson is a real fight, and that Green/Jones is merely a side show.

Pretty pathetic, considering how much he talked up his own sideshow event when he fought Nelson.

Yeah i don't like Jeff Fenech one bit. His last fight with Nelson was nothing but a money making farce. At least Green-Roy Jones is much more intriguing because Roy has been shot at the elite level for some time now and if he keeps on fighting he will eventually get beaten by a Danny Green type who wouldn't have been good enough to hold Roy's spit bucket in Roy's prime. I still think at this stage Roy still beats Green quite comfortably/easily on points.

 

Green will win this. Roy has struggled against guys with a jab for some time. Green will win the last 8 rounds.

Yep tend to agree.....Roys style is all wrong for Green.....anyway I will be cheering for Green and hope he can put on a good fight :good

 

Dont pretend Roy has all of a sudden become unshot...Green will give him a better fight then Lacy for several reasons.

I think Danny can win this given he is at home....But even Roy at 20% is going to give him the fits.

 

Haven't heard the latest announcements, but only days ago it was a case of 'if we can secure Hopkins we'll pay you to wait Danny'.

Very much the nightclub scenario painted by Pecks a couple of posts ago (the risk with this one was always that the plain looking, plan 'B' sheila would cotton on and slap you in front of your mates when you came back for her).

 

roy jones is far from shot, anyone can get knocked out especially when they put their body through what roy did. When did a fighter losing mean they are crap? Sure Jones isnt at his prime but one could argue neither is green. If jones is now so easy to beat why are most people picking him over hopkins if they fight?

The only ppl who are detracting from jones jr current form are those like max kellerman who refuse to believe their favourite fighter can be beat. Take calzaghe out of the equation and roy is on a good run, there is zero shame in losing to joe.
