Lacy has looked dreadful in his last couple of fights.
Although he was overrated, he was still a wrecking ball and dangerous, but now he's just utter **** and is very lame and boring to watch.

Going by this comment i would have to assume that you have not seen any of Lacy's bouts since his destruction by Joe Calzaghe. He is now hopeless and has zero chance against a shot Roy Jones imo.

The talk around seems to have a GREEN v ROY JONES JNR fight firming slightly. Green has apparently pulled the pin on a match-up with Taylor.

It may also rely on the results on the upcoming card featuring both GREEN and RJJ falling the right way.

Not sure anyone knows that as yet - someone suggested Otis Griffin's name on the forum though.

Because the first fight was so competitive, it warrants a rematch

Man that would be very disappointing if he did.

Green won't go near RJJ, even a shell of his former self. He has too many options in Oz before fighting Mandy again. There's Hamden, Taylor, soliman would still be too tricky for him, maybe Tim Bell. One of them will get the nod before he fights someone real.

Just saying that's what I've heard. . . .Taylor would be a waste of time and too small, Soliman is back to middleweight too, and Bell wouldn't draw the kind of money and attention Green seems to be chasing

I think Green wants Jones. Its like stabbing another pin in Mundines heart by fighting his Idol...

Another thread has said 11am tomorrow. Good on Danny, I was not happy at his retirement or comeback, but this might indicate he's not relying soley on Mundine. Let's hope it's a very motivated Green vs. a well worn RJJ

    So was that it?
The only deal that I saw being confirmed was that Greeny would be fighting some Domino's dude on the RJJ/Lacy undercard.

The bollocks that followed it hardly led me to believe that there would be a Green/RJJ fight in Melbourne, and it is certainly no 'done deal:deal' as you had put it.

Danny won't beat an over the hill Jones if this fight comes through. It just proves Green retired to duck Garay plain & simple. What other reason, why would you win the world championship title & try to at least defend it once!
