I just hope if Tarver gets beat we dont hear the haters saying that he was past his prime and too old for the fight and if Green gets beat the huggers saying he never really recovered from his last operation they get beat credit to the winner no excuses

 

i don't mind a bit of smack talk from boxers in the lead up to a fight. as long as the fighter doesn't just throw 98% of their punches as jabs.

tarver will feel like a king when he ventures from the mighty USA to our little country down the bottom of the globe ( hopkins couldn't find us down here though, lol ) so he will be very confident in the lead up until he gets in the ring with green.

so yeah i expect his mouth to be running pretty hot.

 

One of the networks is bound to show Rocky 6 the week prior aren't they!

 

you might get a movie channel showing all 6 in the lead up you never know

 

I wonder if |Choc will hold out a helping hand to Tarver and let him train in Redfern or will he be housed and train at Star City

 

Well, it'll depend on the manner in which Green wins (if he wins) - if he manages to KO Tarver in the first round, we'll hear all about how shot Tarver is, just like what happened with RJJ. We'll also hear that Green hit Tarver with an illegal shot and the ref stopped the fight too soon.

In regards to if Tarver wins - I'll quite happily admit the better man won - no excuses from me.

I too am looking forward to this fight, if Tarver takes it seriously and gets in shape he's definitely got the skills and experience to beat Green.

I think Greeny gets all the support in the world when he has the good fights and gets bagged when he has the **** fights( by most). The Briggs fight will take a while to get over but the general boxing fan i think thinks this is a good fight however the fight between 2 champs is always a more mouth watering prospect
