Green vs Briggs off?

The authority have their own Doc's... maybe Briggs didn't fare toooooo well with their tests???????

Independent Doc's are not the one's to be held responsible.

 

I totally agree with NSW's decision not to sanction the Green-Briggs fight based on the findings of Briggs's issues a couple yrs ago odd.

Time for a national commission to sort the mess that is these state commissions (Especially - QLD & WA. Lesser Extent - NSW & VIC)

Some of things i have heard of WA judges in recent yrs reading other judges scorecards & then changing their own cards to suit is a joke.

 

apparently according to a poster on here he wasnt retired
it was a lay-off and he got a 24 ranking at IBO CW because he was a highly ranked LHW before his 3 year'lay-off'.

 

Kegsy, i was told a similar story but it went a little like this, Judge A completed Score Card, Judge B didnt complete and waited for Judge A to finish so his looked the same, i am not sure of particulars, ie how did he see the other judges card? are they sitting together or something or has the ref given him a quick look or is the story a lie?

Stiflers Mum, the problem with that story is Paul announced his retirment himself and mention nothing about a layoff until now , they are just trying to sugar coat this to the public but truth is he retired and the evidence is out there.

The Truth will all be revealed very soon! lol

oh really? many fights you see one fighter getting beaten badly and the ref calls it off.the fighter stopped rarely agrees annd thinks he can fight on.Briggs is a warrior with a warrior mentality of course he believes he can do it.sometimes it takes others with training and medical expertise to save people from themselves.will you be there to wipe dribble from his mouth and care for him if he becomes a drooling,brain damaged vegetable?

 

Boxing is truly becoming a bigger joke by the minute and is eating itself alive. Who did Briggs beat to earn a shot at this bogus title? Nobody. Who did Jones beat to earn a shot at this bogus title? Nobody. Infatc who did Danny Green beat to earn a shot at this bogus title? Nobody

Boxing has been losing control of it's own bodily functions and is regulary pissing and shitting on itself

Sports body bans fight backed by Events NSW

A WORLD title bout that the NSW Major Events Minister, Kevin Greene, declared would make Sydney ''the boxing capital'' of Australia has been KO'd by one of the minister's other departments.

Boxing authorities have refused to sanction the event because of fears for the safety of one of the fighters.

The decision, which has resulted in Danny Green shifting the July 21 bout with Paul Briggs to his home town of Perth, has cost NSW taxpayers up to $100,000 because Mr Greene, who also holds the Sport and Recreation and Gaming and Racing portfolios, announced last month that Events NSW would promote and support the fight....

Yes, the name caught my eye too!

 

From everything I have read about Briggs, and having followed his career from his MT days, the reality of what happened seems to be this;

1. Came up short against Adamek, no shame
2. Fought a bum and looked like total crap
3. A naturopath friend suggested he may have a nervous problem from being so hardcore his whole life - not a doctor, not a neurologist, a naturopath friend.
4. A new trainer said he looked like **** and suggested he hang em up.
5. Briggs hangs em up.

And the latest - the fight was knocked back because someone in the media told the commission about the so-called "neurological problems" and they panicked like a bunch of girls.

Lou Lewis cleared him, but due to a stupid rumour started by a naturopath, the fight is shut down.
