Mate here's the bottom line. Flores' team must be very confident of being able to drop a couple of pounds and win comfortably. Otherwise they wouldn't take the risk. It rests on Flores. It's not like Danny locked him in a sauna.

For mine there isn't really a big deal about weights in Green's last few fights. It's more about him fighting guys (Siaca and Briggs) who don't deserve to be there. Sure there was a contractual weight agreement with Paul Briggs. He didn't adhere to it but it's not like the fight was in any jeopardy.

I think Danny has learnt a lesson from what Briggs did to him at the weigh in and as such as got a bit smarter and stipulatled secretive penalities/incentives to ensure his opponents make Dannyweight.

I thought it was pretty funny of briggs to snub his thumb at the stipulated Dannyweight contracted agrement and when asked he said whats the big deal its CW, ive come in at CW blah blah, priceless hahaha

I personally think the weight stipulation was there for the Briggs fight to ensure Briggs came in in reasonable shape.

I think the weigh in was the first time Green saw just how out of shape Briggs was.

Either that, or the incentive was just too good to knoick back. I'd love to know the figures we're talking about.
    Any word?

No I don't know what they were. I would imagine they weren't as much what Flores will get paid in his next fight, should he win... put it that way.

I guess this is where we see things a little different, it's not that black and white. Anyway......
When you claim you're the CW chamion of the world, yet you have only fought blown up LHW at only a few kg over the LHW limit, something smells.
Hence the reason in my mind it was so important to have this fight not hobbled by an 'incentive'.

When do you think Danny will fight a CW without any angles?

How can it be any different though? Flores COULD HAVE COME IN AT 200LBS. He chose not to. It's on him. If he cut weight to his detriment, he's an idiot. He knows what he's doing.

Danny is as much the Cruiserweight champion of the world as I am. He is however a top level contender. Will he fight a top level CW without any angles? Who knows... Probably not, seeings he should really be at 175lbs.

dont bother he loves to argue.i got banned for 3 months because me and JD started up a Stone boxing inc. alt account teasing Gav because of his nuthugging 'what will mundine wear'or'im becoming a boxing promoter/boxer'threads and he thinks its the same as googling his name and searching for personal info so he can win on the internet because Gavs favourite fighter arse raped his favourite fighter and he couldnt post victory pics and rub it in.he takes the internet too seriously how many months did he take off when Beyer beat Green?when Mundine won and the nuthuggers he put **** on leading up to the fight returned serve the old.

message is hidden because whoever is on your ignore list  **** came out.its funny how seriously some take the internet.

Yep ippy - Green's CW title is bogus, he should be at LHW.

But I am interested in seeing how he goes tonight with the extra weight.

Perhaps he's making a genuine effort to grow into CW and is intending to campaign at that weight? I doubt it, but iteresting that he added weight for this fight rather than come in at his usual 84kgs.

Tonight could be him testing out how he feels at that weight?

The reason he's added weight for this fight is because Flores is that much bigger than him. If he blasts out or dominates a legitimate Cruiser in Flores, there's more chance of him facing more higher ranked Cruisers IMO.

You're carrying on like a pelican mate.

This internet that you say I take too seriously is the same one you're always on looking for news articles to post on here so you can trot out your old chestnut hate rants about Green.

I'm here for a laugh and a **** stir as well as to keep up on the latest boxing news.

You seem to think you're special and are here for more noble reasons, despite the fact that your only trick seems to be to post the same strung-together sentences over and over and over

That's my line of thinking too, although I'm not getting my hopes up.

If he feels good at this weight, he may go on with it.

Yeah, I had forgotten about that, but it wasn't as though it was a campaign I ran with like you've made out, more of a throwaway comment that was aimed at Gav, not the folk he worked with. It was obvious he'd written that testimonial himself, as it was full of spelling mistakes typical of him.

In that article I also highlighted the claim that he'd boxed competitively and laughed at that because all he'd done was participate in the KT fan day exhibition day.

Funny, both you and your brother both remembering that single post from 2008 - kind of like you remembering my reply to a thread you started back in 2008 about Hopkins that contradicted what I'd said about Hopkins in a recent thread.

I'm assuming you've never posted anything distasteful on here stiffy :yep
