Thanks for the weights Leon & Kegsy :good

The Lightest BJ has ever come in at is 198½ LB - 90.3KG in 2007, for this fight he is 194.7LB - 88.31KG. He is either super fit or has dried out to make weight, its 2kg lighter than he has ever fought at, this can have an effect on him later in the rounds IF he is weight drained, his legs will begin to die on him and he will not be able to run on his bike, a KO win by Green could be inevitable, it all depends on how BJ has droped this weight. If he has done it correctly or not, slow process imo is the key, to much weight loss in a short time will give him weak legs later in the rounds due to weight drain.

BJ looked very hungry in the video, fight wise and stomach lol, it sounded like he was making ummm noises as he was eating after the weigh in, i hope this is not an indication of starvation to make the incentive danny weight

Danny also looks a bit bloated, especially around the chest area, he doesnt look chisled like BJ and looks like he has ***** tits :blurp, he also drank 2lt of fluid before the weigh in and ate as much as he could, i guess this is so it didnt look so bad to all the Danny lovers out there, without the 2lt of fluid he admits to drinking and excessive meals he admits to eating Danny would NOT have come in heavyer than BJ, this is a catchweight fight imo, Dannys just cheated a little to make you all think he is the same weight as BJ, its the same as putting rocks in your pocket. He is 100 grams heavyer even though he said BJ would outweight him come fight time & ON THE SCALES! Is this the lie someone speaks of but doesnt elaborate on? I think so and its not hate, its just plain common sence.

I still hope Flores can win and i hope this fight doesnt fizzle out after a few rounds, if it does then you Green lovers only have Greens so called incentives to blame and the Flores lovers can blame Flores greed. I guess its a win win situation for all partys involved, fans and fighters :bbb:lol:

Its hard to tell because of his complexion imo, he didnt look gaunt or pale which is the first indications of weight drain imo. I guess we wont know till fight time, the only way to be certian is to know what his weight was before he began training for this fight, then to work out what his adverage amount of weight loss per week was. You can only loose so much weight per week on adverage without getting into the area of weight drain.

I am not certain what the amount is but i think from memory the safe amount of weight per week to drop without weight drain or risks to your health is 1kg per week.

BJs had around 8 to 10 weeks training? if he has droped no more than 8 to 10 KG in that time then imo he has done it right, its really had to get a gauge on it without knowing what his weight at the time he signed the fight was, going from pictures and video footage he looks alot broader and fuller. I think its quite possible he has lost atleast 10kg, i just hope its not anymore

    :thumbsup

BJ will put a couple of kg's back on no sweat so no excuse there.

I think Green by TKO in middle rounds.

How some of you guys can justify this as not being a catch weight is crazy.

It is very similar to the Pac vs Margarito situation. Rather than fight at the 154 lb limit, Pac stipulated that Margarito weigh in at under 150lb's (4lb's under the normal Jnr Middle limit).
In this situation, Green has effectively said that if BJ doesn't weight 5 lb's under the actual cruiser limit (where he just usually slides under), then he will have a reduced purse.

The only difference in these scenarios is that Pac himself decided to weigh in lighter than the limit set for his opponent. Green didn't, he figured he may as well weigh what BJ weighs - which is the norm for a catchweight fight.

While I am no expert, a catch weight fight in real terms is simply a weight set which is not at a standard weight limit. 195lb being clearly under the 200lb fits that bill perfectly.

I was willing to bet $500 that this would happen, a lot of people were happy to talk, but no one (even his supporters) were willing to put any cash on the line. Sadly, the justifications are still being made.

While it may well make little difference to the outcome there is the principal here as someone has said. Oh well, I guess we all should be happy, while not a full crusierweight fight Danny is definitely heading in the right direction. Within a couple of fights he may well fight a legit cruiser without any clauses thrown in - we can only hope.

Daws, its catchweigh. Only Francis69 was aware that Danny would come in lighter. Now let Fwit75 describe the fights finish next month.

I said all along that this fight would be a catchweight and yet again i was correct dick head. The same as i nearly always finished in the top 2 or 3 in every predictor league because i have good knowledge/understanding of boxing. I noticed YET AGAIN that you who lives on the forum day to day refuses to man up and compete in the tipping comp like nearly everyone else on here.
If a douche like you EVER beat me in the tipping comp i would leave the forum. Do you want to try ?

I've just got home and read this thread and all I can say is huh?

Can anyone show me the stipulation in the contract for the incentives?

Green came in over Flores, how would that happen without collusion?

For what its worth, was told a few days ago Flores has a wrist injury. Saw him walking past the Stamford after the weigh in (where I was having a well deserved beer) whilst on the phone to Bobby Sinn and put him on the line to him. When he handed back my phone I went to shake his hand with my right but he reached out with his left. Read into that what you will. Also noticed Flores seemed to be marked under his left eye but no-one else seemed to have picked that up. Either I've had to many carrots or too much LSD back in the late 80's.

Highlight of the day. Having another well deserved third and fourth pint in the Stamford with the IBO officials when Phil Austin tells me judge Dave Moretti is at the other end of the table. Although I knew the name, took Phil to jog my memory that Dave was one of the judges i Fenech-Nelson I and Hagler-Hearns. After I let him buy me a beer (hey, I'm sneaky like that!) had a great chat to him for over an hour and ran through those fights as well as some great stories from the last 20 years. Top bloke and I'll even concede now that there was a case for a Fenech-Nelson draw. Doesn't make it hurt any less but...

Moretti must be about 100 yrs old now. He has been around for ages.
