A serious question from you mate? I might need to sit down for awhile!

Basically judges don't like to mix with fighters or corners and it's something I frown upon anyway. All officials attend the official rules meeting following the weigh-in but fighters are not present for that. They are introduced at that meeting to both camps and the way I run rules meetings is that nothing is addressed to the officials, all questions come through me and I answer them to direct any attempts at pressure away from them. I get the referee to speak at the rules meeting so both camps know what to expect from him the following night. The referee then of course speaks to both fighters in the dressing rooms after the fight. That's about all the contact they will have with them. Hope this answers your question

 

I thought the Ref spoke to them before the fight , Or would you( Supervisor) go into the dressing room before to talk to them and check hand wraps and gloves.
I suppose most of the time here the Supervisor has been the main Ref so i just assumed that it was his job.

 

Sorry Typo, it is BEFORE the fight. I accompany the ref into the dressing rooms and visit both dressing rooms after the fight by myself as well. Occasionally, it's been an interesting greeting! Ref Checks the handwraps and signs em off. Really I don't see how a referee can fully carry out the job of supervisor... it's something we don't encourage at the IBO
