Donating to real Australians is fantastic, but it's in the context of the situation that is disgusting. If it's a cause you believe in you donate and keep it on the low, you put in the effort and the money with no motive other than helping people. Green is using it as way to make dumbass people think "Oh Mundine goes on about the aboriginal people, how can he not fight that generous Green now since there is an incentive for the people Mundine claims he is all for". Do you really think Mundine doesn't already put time and money towards aboriginal people, aswell as less tangible donations in regards to aboriginals self-worth, recognition etc.?
Green is using the public, using aboriginal people so he can fight the biggest name he can and make the biggest bucks he can. He's a disgusting piece of ****. A **** boxer and a **** bloke.

Yep, and it's a win/win for all involved, including Mundine. Who loses here? Everyone makes a bucket load including the aborignal people!

Why doesn't Green deserve to fight Mundine - he's just another fighter, and Green's entitled to challenge him.

    Fair point Lefty.
It a leverage to help smoke Mundine out of his hole for a second stoush but its hardly uncommon.
There are plenty of sporting events that bang on about giving to the youth be they aboriginal or grass roots sports in general.
Both footy shows do this kinda of stuff all the time to get money to kids and grassroots youth sports clubs. They dont get lambasted.

It is money going to be put to a pretty goods cause and there aren't to many sports which could offer such a big profile for a single cause.
regardless of whether it be Green or Mundine it could be a way for the sport to offer ongoing financial support to all kids of foundations and charities.

Calling Green a **** person is a bit precious though because of it.

Yeh but Box, the Footy Shows actually follow through with it. Danny was promoting he had Anzac weekend open for this Mundine fight, yet 5 days later he's announced Siaca on the 14th!

The question I ask is - what, he got no answer from Mundine in the first 2 days after this 'call out' and big publicity, warm and fuzzy offer so he arranged Siaca in 3 days? Pleeeaasseee....

Footnote: I actually watched Sports Tonight and the reporter actually led in with the fact "That Mundine didn't accept your offer Danny, so you've gone for Siaca" ****ing hell, they brought the bull****, hook, line and sinker!

The offer was bull**** and a bit poor to be honest using the charity angle when it had no way, shape or form of being delivered on and as were the Holyfield, Tyson out of retirment **** statements, yet everyone criticises Mundine for his all-world domination comments!!!

Fact is, they both love each other to bits, need each other for the big $$$ and I don't know why they waste everyone's time massaging this return bout when it doesn't need massaging.

I just wish they'd fight and get it over with. It's actually tiresome and the result doesn't actually mean that much in the big scheme of things. $ are everything to both.

everything but the fine print is already agreed to, so both STFU and get it on.

yep, converting to islam in light of aboriginal cultural/religion (i.e. dreamtime) must work wonders for the aboriginal identity.

"Donating to real Australians is fantastic, but it's in the context of the situation that is disgusting. If it's a cause you believe in you donate and keep it on the low"

Well since Danny has donated and continues to support 4-5 aboriginal foundations especially in the rural areas of W.A i would say hes kept it on the quiet...especially since you obviously have no ****ing idea of the charity work he does.
Danny often goes out to outback communitys to talk to young indigenous kids about the dangers of excessive drinking and doing drugs.
How much of your time and cash do you donate to charities supporting Australias youth?
On the other hand choc accepted a 20k cheque from a goverment funded indigenous charity as part of a sponsorship deal for one of his earlier fights.
Now if he was such a saint you'd think he would of wavered that fee but he didn't instead he put it in his pocket .
I know choc donates his time and cash to many charitys too but dont make Danny out to be the bad guy cause he threw in the 10% offer to charity:nono

Everything is going according to the script....provided they keep wining....Mundine v Green II will smash the 2006 record :D

While we wait for that....Green v Siaca will be intersting on a number of levels.....in the end it's a keep busy fight that looks good on the resume and gives Green another :tong to blow at Mundine

Have no idea what they are actually waiting for?

Afterall, the reason for Green's comeback was Green vs Mundine II, and the public are ready for it now - the build-up is already completed.

The only thing a few lead-up bouts can achieve is the risk of a loss, thus taking some gloss off what's already ready to do.
