It was claimed that it was just electrolytes but the problem with that is that it was mixed from another bottle and put into a diffrent one with the label removed. IMO it was his go-go juice, he must not be eating enough weeties :good
Here's the post in which you speak about Creatine that I responded to. Stop trying to tell people what they should be posting about just because you got your arse kicked. I'm done with you on this matter so you can go on trying to spin it in retrospect in a pathetic attempt to make out you were taken out of context etc. or you can move on.
According to WA boxing commission thats correct. Im not sure how he got the Green light for whatever it was he was drinking since WA commission are the people who oversea the fight, wrap inspections etc. Not to mention that the substance he was consuming dont look like Gatoraid or Poweraid, someone even said that he gets tested lol like fck he gets tested.. he wasnt tested in the fight against Tarver, so we can assume the IBO are cheap *******s that dont enforce mandatory testing in their world title fights.
BCAA's and glutamine are found in protein.. they are just amino acids. And Ice baths (especially contrast) is the most proven way to aid recovery, that's been demonstrated in many studies. Some supplements can help but for most there is insufficient evidence. A healthy diet should negate any need for supplements. There is a whole lot of nonsense in this thread, if you want to know what supplements have scientific evidence behind them then go to the AIS website and there are 4 different categories for supplements. Supplements typically help people who are lacking something.. Other than Creatine and Caffeine that both have plenty of scientific evidence for their use.
This Sox guy is right on the money for most things... Protein shakes aren't needed and neither are extra minerals and vitamins if you have a decent diet. Protein needs aren't as high as people think and too much of anything (including vitamins and minerals) can have a detrimental effect on your health, the same as not enough. Instead of pretending to be a smart guy why don't you spend some time actually educating yourself?
Red meat and any source of protein. Creatine supplementation has research proving its benefits but there are also many non-responders.. typically people who already get plenty of creatine from their diet. ****ing idiot.
Creatine is the same as your Whey powder buddy.. just another combination of amino acids. It's nowhere near being a steroid or any form of cheating. When you eat a piece of meat you're ingesting creatine.
Mate the AIS use all the research that has been done in the world to support what they're saying along with their own world class research. Do you seriously think AIS doesn't have access to and ignores what's on PubMed? They have analysed studies from databases that you will never have access to. If you trust anybody on supplements it should be the AIS. Even then you have to understand the context in which they're recommending a supplement, it's not just "Oh it's on this list so it works for anybody anytime".
