He actually weighed less than Green at weigh in incentiveweight but was probably bigger fight night. He was hopeless undefeated garbage. I didn't pay for this but watched it after I gave Flores 2 rounds.
Why didnt he put plan "B" to work against Beyer? simply put plan "B" is to box, he tried plan "B" with Beyer off the bat in the 2nd fight and got schooled because he is hopless against a boxer, especially a good euro one, he went to plan "A" in the 12th round, to little to late. Flores wasnt smart enough to outbox Danny, Danny did it quiet easy boxing Flores and luring him in because Flores had a padded record and wasnt a very good boxer which proved that when he fought Danny and Danny was able to defeat him by sitting on the ropes. Anyone else, Tarver for example would have none of that and take advantage of someone sitting on the ropes as you see Tarver do. Flores didnt captalize on this mistake so it worked for Danny and he contuined to do this the entire fight, he tried the same sht on Tarver and it backfired, he is a one trick Pony. Thought what he did on BJ Flores would work on a skilled boxer like Tarver What was it you were saying about being rational ? :hey
But Ty you have a selective memory. The last few rounds Green changed up his fight game and came onto Beyer with far more intensity than he started, much like the Green we know, the walk up robot like Green.....he lost UD but again showed Beyer up as a fighter who melts under brute force. Yes his plan "B" was to box which was a mistake against a technically correct European fighter but be honest this was the only approach given the previous result and the hoodoo of the judges, doctor and the pushy German promoter orchestrating his hand picked contingent at ringside.....who wouldn't take a cautious approach......everyone expected much of the same as the first fight. Green surprised most and tried to win this contest on skill alone. So tell me again about this one trick pony.....I have told you and you know it that Green changed styles to fight Flores and caught an unsuspecting public and did change his fight game although to late v Beyer II. This is what I refer to when I state that you cant analyze a Green fight rationally without being jaded by your blinding hate.
Can you answer something for me. Do you believe green is a good fighter or a great one. Because his style isnt good, his footwork isnt great, and he rarely does anything but depend on brawling to win fights. He is average at best, courage and balls dont make you great, they are just attributes he has. Anyone half decent beats him,and remember mundine isnt great, nor is beyer, and tarver is past his best and they all beat him well.
i believe heis a good boxerhe was act a quite successful amateur, flooring the eventual gold medal winner before breaking his hand. No hes not a technically incredible good pro, but he has done incredibly well considering his limited natural attributes, of course theres a blue print on how to beat him , as theres is on most fighters, but he is still imo one of our best athletes and a good ambassador for the sport in australia, i know a lot will disagree with that though.
This is an aussie boxing forum. You want to talk about soccer then go find that forum. Boxing is a real sport. Soccer is full of metrosexuals
Plan "B" didnt work on Beyer or Tarver and has only worked against BJ Flores. He cant outbox the elites because he isnt a very good boxer, he is a brawler type fighter.
