Fair enough. Reason I ask is because there is much debate as to which version is the real deal. But I don't understand enough about it to draw a proper conclusion.
That all sounds pretty fair enough Leon, well said. :good Now where's me ****en HDD you promised months ago! :deal
Fair call, it's hard to consider any of the WBA's "world" titles as the real deal these days. Super champ - He put in the hard work and unified with another champion or defended 10+ times, making him exempt from defending the title to the 1# fighter. In other words he picks and chooses who he wants to fight and when... Regular - Has fought hard (or paid big $$$) for a mandatory shot at the title, because the super champ is not obliged to fight him the WBA will let him fight a top 15 ranked for the title. He will be obliged to defend his title against the number 1 ranked contender. Interim - You pay a sh*t load of santioning fee's and win a hand full of regional titles. Pay more santioning fee's and the WBA will let you take on a fighter in the top 150 who will mysteriously appear in the top 15 a few weeks prior to the fight. Thats pretty much the WBA in a nutshell :good
Just make sure you eat the correct hand, otherwise you will not be able to wank whilst watching Danny Green fight.
:good Well said regarding the WBA & randoms popping up at 14 or 15 when they are all of a sudden fighting for a version of WBA strap. The WBA prob the 2nd biggest shambles in the sport after the IBO....then again other orgs like the WBC aint much better either with their "silver" belts now. The WBA could always pull out the old carry over points excuse like the IBO does to get guys ranked number 60 odd a shot at their version of the title...i also see now that the IBO exempt beltholders from the major 4 orgs from their rankings to make the top 35 really a top 40
Stiffy whats your take on danny's 2 yr IBO run? and do you agree with him that its about the quality of the 2 people fighting for the belt and not the org they are fighting under?
If ya can defeat me in a ESB tipping comp then the fight is on. Lets see if ya want the fight first by entering in the next tipping comp and trying to defeat me. I reckon you will duck me. Hope I'm wrong though as I would love to fight you next year.
But the WBC are not far behind the WBA. http://www.pound4pound.com/PressRelease/2011/WBCRatingsAug.htm How did Green go from 32 to 15 from August to September. If you got money you can buy a ranking.
