Of course it's easy to read, it's a story about a bogan, a simple man, a quitter. What is there to tell? A guy with a massive ego who came up short time and time again, got his ass kicked by the guy he used to become famous, became a politician and used his money to buy a bogus title that he can forever use to butter up his ego, he made sure he got out quickly before he had a chance to lose it. A chump of a man, end of story.

Let's not worry about that now champ, we're talking about a different issue, The stiffs new book. Please let me know shiney, what is it that makes you want to read about a guy with a tic tac heart and a massive ego who failed in every attempt at winning a belt at super middle so he used a bunch of excuses to explain his losses and move up to light heavy to spend his money on a paper title then retire in fear of losing to his challenger who wasn't a complete tomato can? Are you reading it because you had a crush on him when you knew him in high school or because you're looking for some inspiration on becoming an egotistical stiff who makes excuses?

I have mixed thoughts on Greeny to be honest.
The way he went out left alot of questions. I will leave it there.
Whether u like it or not Lefty raises some valid points that i agree with.
Green was a paper champ no doubt.

Yer lefty raises some valid points that you agree with lets have a look them.

1.Danny has a heart the size of a tic tac/

If you agree with that you know sweet fuk all about about Danny the guy doesn't have half the natural ability of other title holders but has more heart and determination to rival any boxer.

2.Danny failed in every attempt at winning a belt at 168

I guess your memory has lapsed and you've forgotten the way Green ragdolled Lucas in front of his home crowd in Canada:hi:

3.Danny moved up to 175 to spend his money on a paper title

So i gather you agree that the oldest sanctiioning body's belt is infact a paper title...WTF

4.Danny retired in fear of losing his title to someone who wasn't a complete tomato can.

Have you seen Garay fight? he has the perfect walk up style for Green he'd be lucky to last 6 rds.

    5.Danny Green is a quitter

Well if retiring as world champ makes you a quitter then i guess he is.

6.Danny became a politiction and used his money to buy a bogus title:dead

If you knew Danny the way i do you would know he would rather get ko'd than win a title in a currupt manner:deal

And i see that you think Danny was a paper champ kegsy maybe if he defended his title against soliman and hamden a few times that would make him legit...lol
At the end of the day Danny has never claimed to be the best boxer in the world nor does he have the skills or the ability of some of the best boxers going around,He's just a guy who's busted his arse off training and getting himself in the best shape he can using his heart and determination to finally achive his dream of winning a world title:deal

So to anyone who wants to begrudge a guy who got the best out of his abilities and achived his life long goal can go FUK THEMSELVES:fire

Does Danny owe you money, lefty? Sounds personal.

I met Danny at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles -- helluva nice kid. Everybody at the gym thought he was a terrific free spirit -- never backed down from anyone.

I stood on the ring apron the day he sparred James Toney.

Though Danny was out-weighed by almost 50 pounds, by an angry great fighter, he went full throttle, trading punch for punch. And James, who has to be the Alpha in any gym, would've loved to have stretched and embarrassed him.

James was livid after the session. Danny thought it was a big lark, even traded smack with Toney, laughin' all the way.

Say what you will about Danny, he's the kinda fighter that used to train at Stillman 's Gym in the '40s -- he'd knock you dead sparring after a full night of partyin'.

The game needs more like him -- a colorful guy.

Why all the hate for Kegsy?!

All he said is that he's had mixed feelings about his career, and shiner and left jab danny are carrying on like the guy has raped their mum.

Let's try and keep our sensitivities in check aye? :good

Yeah fair enough mate i liked Greeny as a fighter, great heart & determination...no doubt...but he was a paper champ just like Mundine is.

I would have liked him to at least stick it out & unify with say Erdei which would have been a very winnable fight for Greeny.
His career from a legacy standpoint will always be questioned by knowledgeable boxing people whether u like it or not.

Also i will say is im a boxing fan, not a Danny Green fan unlike the other 98% of West Aussies.:-(
