Ya... I actually was one of the few that cut Rahman some slack for losing this one buy for this to happen next, not a good look. Although, he was caught bare knuckle by a homerun shot by 280lber. Maybe if they had boxing gloves on Hardy takes that punch ok enough for the fight to evolve into one he winds up winning. In that case hard to fault Rahman in that department. But still, not a good look.
Makes me think a bit at how different fights and a lot of fight outcomes would be if they were bare knuckle.
Glove size matters. I sometimes like to wear 16oz gloves because it´s so easy to cover up and defend yourself with them. And 8oz gloves are good for technical sparring because it´s easier to be accurate. Hardy could have had 10oz gloves on and the glove could have gotten in the way of the punch, mitigating a lot of the damage.
