RIP Champ! Condolences to his family and friends. I always liked his gruff down to earth personality. I will always remember what he said before fighting JC Chavez sr, he something like, anybody can have a record like that if all they fought was Tijuana taxi cab drivers! Chavez didn't take kindly to that remark! You will be missed Greg!! Very sad news to hear.

Dude fought Tough Man competitions in Alaska in the early 80's, going up against 220 pound oil workers. Legend. RIP.

Very sad news. Haugen didn't have any notable physical talents but was still a very crafty boxer who fought just about anyone and wasn't afraid to fight the best.

    RIP Champ

    RIP Champion

Durable, solid boxing skills- counter punching, and forward pressure. Take on anybody no nonesense.

    Picture of blue-collar toughness.

Trilogy with Pazienza, Camacho win, ending Mancini and big fight with Chavez. Definitely a Respected legacy !!

Laughed when they asked him about that Tijuana cab driver comment.

    “Those cab drivers were tough!"
