i had the opportunity to watch paez fight and the guy is very explosive, compact and can punch. haugen was very physically strong and as crude as though by his toughman background, he is almost completely refined to a straight punching, stick and move fighter who is not afraid to take a punch to set up body shots, straight right and stiff jab out.

i think this would be a great matchup. paez good enough to beat a prime calvin grove and haugen good enough to beat a prime paz.

I'd pick 'El Maromero' over 12 rounds. Paez was a bit of a strange cat; he could look pretty good or very ordinary sometimes.

Paez would use his speed & unorthodoxed style to pile up points & bufuddle the stand up style of Haugen. Paez would clown his way to a 12 round UD in this one.

Maromero over Haugen. He hit harder, used a truly unorthdox style, and was ALWAYS entertaining. Haugen was a champion with good boxing skills, but I'd still give it to Paez.
