Greg Leon Must Feel Like a Jackass!!!

De La Hoya/Pacman has been official for a while now, and coincidentally enough on that website that talks about boxing, there have been zero mailbags. My guess is that there have been tons of people who have written in to Greg Leon letting him have it. He was so sure the fight wasn't going to be made that he would refuse to even answer questions pertaining to that fight. He sounded like a dude that was willing to bet his life savings that the fight wouldn't get made. He really fancies himself an insider, but lately he has been proving that he's not quite as "in" and he thought he was. Your thoughts on this guy?

I'm not sure about this. It wouldn't surprise me. He's got a good website, but one thing that really pisses me off is that he doesn't pay the writers. About a year ago I was interested in writing for his website. I emailed him and asked him about being on his writing staff. He asked me to submit some sample articles that I have written. I submitted about 5 articles that I wrote that were published either online or in a magazine. He liked them and I was given an assignment to cover an ESPN fight card.

I watched the fights from home and did a write up of the fights that he was very happy with and published on his website. I did that 100% free of charge. He said that he would like me to be on his writing staff full time. I said, "great, let's talk about the compensation". He goes, "I don't pay my writers. My writers get perks like getting access to fighters and going to fights". I said, "thanks but no thanks". I'm amazed that an editor for a very profitable website that makes money from advertising in conjunction with monthly membership fees has the balls not to pay the writers!! What the hell is a website without the content?
