Thanks. I actually saw the knockout in the rematch which was around 1990 and on the undercard of Whitaker vs Nelson.

What a goof. Page sticks out his tongue to taunt Wills, then gets cracked and floored. Then retires in between rounds.

I checked out this fight awhile back. Page was winning the fight, but got caught.Truthfully, had never recoverd from being clocked in that first round.Should've retired after this fight.

The referee could have stopped it there in the first round, with some justification.

A real "timberrrrrrrr" of a knockout. A huge, ponderous overhand right that Page walked into after getting some bandaging taped, if I remember correctly.. The commentary to support this punch was simply an astonished “Oooooh!” like a tree being felled. The crowd can then be heard singing: “I’m a lumberjack and I’m okay”...probably.

I saw him live fighting Mason (just before the Page rematch). He was clearly tough, but seemed ordinary offensively. Mason was more 'lumbering' than usual in that bout, and Wills seemed content just to get to the final bell, he had no ambition.

Pulling out the old VCR tonight and gonna make it a Wills - Page double header. I figured a topic had been created prior about these two fights.

I still remember watching the original live and being stunned by the outcome. Page for whatever reason had no defense in either fight for that Wills cartoon like wild overhand right. Not sure if the fights are still on YouTube, I usually just pull out my tapes when the mood strikes, call it nostalgia. Plus my original recordings are better quality than what is primarily found on YouTube, not that anything looks as amazing as it once did in this age of high definition.. But in all honesty that just adds to the nostalgia.. if you've never watched the fights I would definitely recommend watching the knockout of fight number two, it is an unbelievable right hand by Wills that hits Page as flush in the face as humanly possible, to which Page falls like a tree, it's priceless!!!!! let me know if it's not on YouTube and if not I can upload a clip of it to my own YouTube account ...
