Both men were erratic...Page on a great night I would favor but the quickfisted Southpaw had the capabiltys of upsetting anyone when he was Fit which was not always
Matchups against really inconsistent fighters are almost useless to speculate. That said, I'll take Sanders.
i dont care how motivated greg page is, he doesnt have enough to take a super southpaw, in fact no one does.
One commonality that both of these men shared, is they often failed to reach optimal condition in their most important fights. I suppose the Sanders who defeated Wlad vs the Page who beat Coetzee would have made for an interesting fight, but who knows. I can't think of too many left hookers who Page ever fought or defeated. I think David Bey had an okay left hook, and Greg lost to him. Of course, Page went 12 and even 15 rounds on a few occasions in his career, and I don't know if Sanders would have had the stamina to do so. Additionally, Page was a fairly durable heavyweight during his younger years. He would later sustain some TKO and KO losses, but these mainly came past his prime. I'm going to vote for Page by a late stoppage, but only on the very best nights of these men's careers. At any other point, I would probably pick Sanders.
I never really saw Corrie beat anyone of merrit other than Wlad ... he was very disappointing in his loss to Rachman ... I pick Page.
